Greet Minnen vs. Naomi Osaka Highlights | 2025 US Open Round 1

Oh, it’s brilliant. Oh, wonderful all court play. some pretty good acceleration through that forehand from and then play powerfully off the baseline because she’s got to do that three or four shots in a row. Now Saka is crunching the ball in Boko in Canada. But as Andrea says that’s too good. Yeah. Getting out here at the moment. 135. Okay, that’ll do it. for Osaka. Didn’t have things all her own way, particularly in the early stages. She will be happy to have got on. Couldn’t get there this time. That’s a nice touch from the Belgian. And just like that, Naomi Osaka is back on serve in this second set. And Oaka a game away from getting the win here on Armstrong. That back hand down the line has been a real weapon throughout. Another beauty. Then sudden matchaka celebrates under the lights of Louis Armstrong. She’s through to the second round. Bit of an up and down performance to come through against the Belgian great minute. She’ll be happy with the way she knuckled down from 4-3 down in the second set in particular. Relationship with new coach Thomas Victorski is uh is blooming nicely. It’s a straight sets win in the end. 63 64 for the 23rd seed this year.

  1. The amount of time Osaka spends on just thinking about how she's gonna shock the world with yet another ridiculous outfit is more than she spends with her kid. Appalling!

  3. Naomi's outfit is literally the worst tennis dress I have ever seen, and I've been watching pro tennis all of my life. Just awful. I'm not surprised Naomi designed it herself. No professional garment manufacturer would create such a monstrosity.

  4. Osaka's game can only go up from here! I hope she quickly gets back to her form in Canada since there's still improvement and heaviness of shots! Hope she can go all the way

  5. ATP and WTA, you are insulting the victims of russias war in Ukraine by letting russian warmongeres play and be cheered, and furthermore you are an insult to the nations who spend billions of $ defending Ukraine. Get the russians and belarus players banned now, until they put pressure on their war president to end this war, NOW.

  6. Not trying to insult other players or anything, but players like Osaka, when you watch them, you get this unique feeling by the way they hit the ball. You feel that raw talent.

  7. Osaka looks absolutely stunning. And she is back in her best shape since being in her prime years ago before having a baby.

  8. The main disappointment of this highlight reel for me was not including more shots of Naomi showing off her sparkling new outfit and corn-row plaits. She looks absolutely gorgeous! 😊

  9. Lets Go Naomi!!! Hoping you will survive til the finals because you deserve it a GS Champ before i guess you can handle this! Let do it Naomi💪🏻😊

  10. Unfortunately, I don't see Naomi winning any big tournaments again. I'd focus on endorsements.
