1999年から翌年にかけて放送された「デジモン」シリーズのアニメ第1作「デジモンアドベンチャー」。その放送から15周年を記念して制作された続編が劇場上映作品「デジモンアドベンチャー　tri．」。この作品の2．5次元舞台化作品。

【ストーリー】
6年前の8月1日は、八神太一（松本岳）、石田ヤマト（橋本祥平）ら“選ばれし子どもたち”が初めてデジタルワールドに足を踏み入れた日だった。ある日、太一は妹のヒカリ（重石邑菜）から8月1日にキャンプに行こうと誘われる。太刀川ミミ（田上真里奈）と泉光子郎（上村海成）が提案したのだという。受験勉強で忙しい城戸丈（小松準弥）も参加すると聞き、太一は快諾。一方、ヤマトは弟のタケル（野見山拳太）に頼まれ、渋々ながら参加を決める。武之内空（森田涼花）も含め、記念すべき日に8人が再集結した。
当日、ミミが用意するはずの道具を持ってこず、前途多難なスタートに。騒ぐ丈、打開策を考える光子郎、ミミをフォローする空と、みんなの姿を見て太一はデジタルワールドに初めて来たときのことを思い出し笑みを浮かべる。そして、8人は6年前の気持ちをよみがえらせ、キャンプを無事終える。だが、そのキャンプ場にはある秘密があった。
