for I don’t know. Fore! Foreign! Foreign! Fore! Fore!chch! Yo, Tim Desert Storm Bradley, you already know the rest. Hey, had one of these comments uh yesterday. Uh MJ, man, MJ and Anyway, let’s talk about it. You know, they had that happen on Sunday. and not many people are talking about it, but so we f to talk about it right now. Yeah, I just got done uh I’m still on my walk, but I just got done looking at the fight and stuff like that. And I just want to give you my assessment on the fight itself and uh in a way and MJ. First of all, during the leadup of the fight, what I saw was was too much compassion, too much love, too much respect giving by MJ. Like I I I noticed that right away. That annoyed me. it, you know, he brought him a robe and all that just all this stuff, man. And it might have been earlier during the promotion, but however, it still it don’t matter. He was showing too much respect, you know. Um, it almost felt like he was just happy to be there, you know? I got the fight. I got the big money I’ve been waiting on. I’m happy to be there. I didn’t like that mentality at all. It’s like it’s okay to be respectful. It’s okay to be, you know, a gentleman. You know what I mean? However, I’m here. Never take your eye off the prize. You remember me talking about when uh Norman Jr. was going over there. When I told you when you go to different countries, especially when you go to Japan, right, they’re they friendly. Super friendly. Huh? Hey, how you doing? I mean, man, you it feel like you’re welcome. You feel like you one of them. You know what I’m saying? They make you feel that way. So, you know, that that can take away from your desire, you know, when people are are smiling in your face and making you feel welcome, man. You get comfortable, you know, and I felt like that’s what MJ did. He got comfortable right away, you know, and it showed. the show because he sh he has showed no really no uh no urgency in his performance. You know, I noticed by watching MJ in his fights, yeah, he’s typically calm, cool, and collected, and he slowly starts to build on his work, but he didn’t have time to do that against anyway. He didn’t have time to do that. I mean, look, I saw some good things that he was doing and he was able to land on MJ, I mean, excuse me, on Inway. You know, he he definitely was able to land that two two-1 combination which solely lands which which which was suddenly I would say suddenly lands on Inway. It’s a punch that that Inway has has a problem getting away from you know he was able to land that. I saw the two three combination he was able to land on him as well. You know, right, you you know, but what happens when you land those shots and then you can’t land them, you know, where’s the adjustment, you know, few adjustments that, you know, MJ could have made was one was he could have moved to his right. He’s a southpaw. He moves to his left a lot, you know, and so he’s giving he’s giving in an exit to the left. That’s what he was struggling with. in a way was moving to his left and you know you want to get outside foot positioning you know against a against a southball and the southpaw literally gave it to him. You know that was an issue and it came back and bit him behind. But also, I would say this, even if MJ did have the the perfect, you know, if even if he was to make adjustments, man, you know, I think the speed, you know, just the athleticism of uh the explosiveness, the speed, the hand eye corner, everything that comes with anyway, man, you know, it just was too much. Just too much. You know, I told you, you know, I was a a great athlete. However, Manny Pac was a better athlete. I told you Crawford is a fantastic athlete. He’s a better athlete than Canelo. I told you that was going to be the difference, too. You know, same thing here, you know, as anyway travels up divisions, right? He’s going to meet that athlete that that’s going to be just as athletic as him. Right now, off the top of my head, I don’t know who that guy is, right? But that’s when that’s when the size is going to become a factor for him. You know, I remember saying this about Lomachenko years ago, you know, and everybody was just like, “Man, you hating and you hating. You hating hating.” No, no, no. I just see it, you know. I I I’ve been around the sport a very long time. So, I said with Ortiz, right, when he fought against Ortiz, I said, “Rt, don’t give him problems because Ortiz is a hell of an athlete.” You know, I I know you guys know who I’m talking about. Ortiz, the one that fought against uh Tafima Lopez and the one that Tfimo Lopez struggled against. Yes. Ortiz. Right. I knew he’s on giving away issues because I mean, excuse me, uh, Lomachenko issues because Lachenko was a better athlete than a lot of these guys. That’s why he was able to travel up weight classes and and and fight against the best. So, but if he gets in there with another athletic guy who’s bigger, who’s longer, you know, who knows how to box, that has has an understanding of boxing, a high IQ, right? he’s always gonna have issues. So, same thing with Inway. Inway, brilliant fighter. You know, his movement was the issue. His movement, man. You know, Inaway continues to get better and better, man. You know, as a fighter, you always want to try to get better, man. You never can you never can be satisfied. And, you know, you know, in a way, it’s great because he’s always adjusting his game. always that movement to the left. Yes, it’s been there. However, he did it. He knew that he always had that exit and he was able to exit and stay safe and stay out of harm’s way, you know, and that was the difference in the fight, man. You know, MJ, he he’s again when he turned it on, it was kind of too late. MJ already had his number, you know. Uh fighters need to understand that like you can have a plan, but if that plan ain’t really working, man, with your experience and what you seeing and what you feeling, you have to make those adjustments. You know, I tell my kids all the time, man, like they play soccer, competitive soccer, and they in their positions. I’m like, you the one out there on the field. you the one like I hear your coach on the sideline telling you to move in this position and that but you the one that’s out there and has been seeing what’s been going on and what these teams have been doing. You know, you the one in the mix. So, if you don’t feel like it’s safe to move to that position, don’t move to that position. You know, don’t move. And just make sure that you know what you doing and make sure that you stop whatever whatever is coming your way, right? make sure they don’t score, boo. That’s what I tell my girls. You know what I’m saying? It’s like, yeah, I hear you, coach. However, this is what I’m seeing. And MJ, that’s what he got to do, man. He should have used his experience and he should have adapted, man. You know, as he started to put more and more pressure, you know, he he he bettered his chances at landing on anyway. But when he sat there in the high guard and allowed him and allowed Inaway to just punch at those guards, man. You know the force that that that Inaway punches with. He He’ll prop him up. You know what I’m saying? He He just propped him popped him right up, man. He pulled those hips forward. You know, because when you when you when you’re in there, it’s like in a ways on a punching bag, man. And he stand he basically stand you up. You become a kickstand, you know? And what I mean by that is that you put that high guard up anyways punching so hard with so much force. Now you’re you’re like this. Now you stuck. Your hips are coming forward. Your hips are coming forward. When your hips come forward, man, you stuck in the mud. Ain’t nothing you can do. Yo, you can go back and get distance. That’s fine. He going to follow you out because you out of positioning, you know. So that’s why you see a lot of guys, and I’m going off on a tangent right now. That’s why you see a lot of guys especially like in Russian and Russ the Russians and Usbekiststanians and all them you know in Beckistan and all them that’s why they they they they they lean forward and they try to smother your punches when they when they using that high guard right to kind of like break a lot of that force up you know with force and they’re forward momentum you know but a lot of times guys just sit up there in front and then they become a kickstand you know and and that was the issue too, man. And he wasn’t reacting and wasn’t countering off off of all those uh out off of all those shots that anyway was was throwing at that high guard. He wasn’t doing nothing off of that. You know, those are perfect opportunities for him to come back with some offense, you know, get in the way, get get in the way to to make a move or, you know, have to defend against something and he didn’t do that, you know. But this was a fantastic performance by anyway, man. I’m glad he did some rounds. I’m glad that, you know, we got to see different elements in different parts of his game. You know, uh he’s a smart fighter, man. He’s a smart fighter. You know, those hands are fast. That explosive punching power. He comes in tremendous shape. He got so much heart and determination, man. It’s going to be tough to beat him, man. It really is, you know. Um but anyways, that I mean, that’s my thoughts about the that’s my thoughts about the fight, man. Um great performance. Great performance, solid performance by by freaking anyway. And you know, again, he he displayed once again why he’s one of the best fighters pound-for-pound on the planet. Anyway, that’s my time and I’m out. Facebook, YouTube
