[First, let’s get born.] Shizu: Right. Umi: Show some reverence. Noel: “Reverence”? Shizu: Don’t hear that often. Noel: Revere me. Chaka: I can’t revere someone who says that. Noel: I’ve been born. Thanks everyone. Chaka: The kanji used to write “Noel”…
[Noel Kawashima] Noel: Yeah?
[Noel Kawashima] Chaka: Remind us what they mean.
[Noel Kawashima] Noel: Here’s a refresher.

[Noel Kawashima] Noel: Exactly. It’s a comparison.
[Noel Kawashima] Noel: The “e” is a kanji
taken from my dad’s name.
[Noel Kawashima] Noel: The “l” is from my mom’s name.
[Noel Kawashima] Machu: Ah, true.
[Noel Kawashima] Noel: My grandad named me “Noel”
as if to say, “Be like your parents.”
[Noel Kawashima] Shime: Great name.
[Noel Kawashima] Chaka: Your grandad?
[A message from his grandfather
telling him to be like his parents.] Noel: Yes.
[A message from his grandfather
telling him to be like his parents.] Shizu: Wow.
[A message from his grandfather
telling him to be like his parents.] Noel: He gave me a nice name.
[A message from his grandfather
telling him to be like his parents.] Shime: He did.
[A message from his grandfather
telling him to be like his parents.] Noel: Some time passed. Chaka: You got into showbiz? Shizu: Already? Noel: Oh, I started dancing. Chaka: You started dancing. Genta: Dance, huh? Umi: When? Chaka: Noel started early. Chaka: At six years old.
[2001: Started dancing.

[Ages in 2000] Machu: I was three.
[Ages in 2000] Machu: Big brother! Genta: Five years older? Machu: Much older. Genta: He’s our senior. Machu: Very senior. Chaka: Was it ballet? Noel: I started with hip hop. Umi: Really? Noel: Before starting dance, I saw
Shiki Theatre Company’s “The Lion King.” Umi: Wow. Noel: I saw it with my mom
and said, “I wanna do that.” All: Whoa.
[Lil’ Noel saw “The Lion King”
and aspired to become young Simba.] Noel: There was a kid playing young Simba.
[Lil’ Noel saw “The Lion King”
and aspired to become young Simba.] Noel: My mom did some research, Noel: and had me start dance classes. All: Wow.

so he could become young Simba.] Noel: I did hip hop dance
[He originally started dancing
so he could become young Simba.] Noel: every Thursday
at a local community center. Shizu: I see. You went to a local place. Noel: My teacher at the time was a woman Noel: who was married to a famously strict
jazz dance instructor. Noel: That’s how I started jazz dance. Shizu: Interesting.
[From hip hop to jazz dance.] Chaka: It’s all connected.
[From hip hop to jazz dance.] Chaka: Back then,
[From hip hop to jazz dance.] Chaka: There weren’t many dance schools. Noel: Right. Shime: Not back then. Noel: At the place Noel: where I learned jazz dance… Umi: Teru bro? Genta: You’re kidding. Wow. Noel: I met Hikaru Iwamoto. Umi: You met Teru bro? Noel: When I was six or seven… Machu: You met him? Noel: Hikaru Iwamoto was my senior
at the dance class I went to. Shizu: Crazy!
[Snow Man’s Hikaru Iwamoto and Noel
were classmates at a local dance class.] Chaka: Wow.

[Snow Man’s Hikaru Iwamoto and Noel
were classmates at a local dance class.] Noel: After that,
[Snow Man’s Hikaru Iwamoto and Noel
were classmates at a local dance class.] Noel: in third grade… Chaka: A contest? Noel: I came 4th in a dance contest. Machu: Wow, amazing.
[2003: 4th place in a dance contest.
(Elementary grade 3)] Shime: Awesome.
[2003: 4th place in a dance contest.
(Elementary grade 3)] Noel: I joined a jazz dance contest
in a team of five.
[2003: 4th place in a dance contest.
(Elementary grade 3)] Noel: It was a junior division,
but we came 4th nationwide.
[2003: 4th place in a dance contest.
(Elementary grade 3)] Machu: Amazing.

(Elementary grade 3)] Noel: My teammate was Hikaru Iwamoto.
[Finished 4th in Japan
three years after starting dancing.] [Finished 4th in Japan

[Finished 4th in Japan
three years after starting dancing.] Shime: Wow.
[Finished 4th in Japan
three years after starting dancing.] Shizu: Awesome.
[Finished 4th in Japan
three years after starting dancing.] Umi: You were basically in Snow Man. Noel: No way! I wouldn’t dare say that. Shime: Amazing. Machu: How many people were on the team? Chaka: He just said it. Shizu: He told us. [Noel said “a team of five”
just seconds ago…] Noel: Um, I mean…
[Noel said “a team of five”
just seconds ago…] Shizu: Awkward!
[Noel said “a team of five”
just seconds ago…] Chaka: You’re listening, but you forgot. Machu: I did. I’m listening properly, though. Shizu: “Listening properly.”
[The story is so surprising,
Machu missed the details.] Chaka: A team of five.
[The story is so surprising,
Machu missed the details.] Machu: A team of five.
[The story is so surprising,
Machu missed the details.] Noel: A team of five.
[The story is so surprising,
Machu missed the details.] Noel: Hikaru was super talented, even then. Noel: I always asked him for advice. Shizu: Both of you ended up being superstars. Shizu: What are the odds?
[Don’t underestimate
community center dance classes…] Chaka: It all started there.
[Don’t underestimate
community center dance classes…] Shizu: Yeah.
[Don’t underestimate
community center dance classes…] Noel: After competing in that contest, Noel: I joined the entertainment industry. Genta: There it is. Machu: From third grade?
[2003: 4th place in a dance contest.
Joined the entertainment industry.] Noel: Yes. This was my child performer era.
[2003: 4th place in a dance contest.
Joined the entertainment industry.] Shizu: Child performer.
[2003: 4th place in a dance contest.
Joined the entertainment industry.] Chaka: Did you join an agency for that?
[2003: 4th place in a dance contest.
Joined the entertainment industry.] Noel: Yes.
[2003: 4th place in a dance contest.
Joined the entertainment industry.] Umi: The legendary red scarf…
[2003: 4th place in a dance contest.
Joined the entertainment industry.] Noel: It was white. Umi: Oh, sorry. Noel: Yves Saint Laurent. Machu: From the memory game video? Shizu: Oh, that pose!
[Watch this video to get the whole story.] Shizu: I’ve seen it.
[Watch this video to get the whole story.] Shime: Show it on-screen.
[Watch this video to get the whole story.] Shizu: Show it side-by-side.
[Watch this video to get the whole story.] Chaka: Your first artist photo.
[Watch this video to get the whole story.] Noel: My first artist photo.
[Watch this video to get the whole story.] Noel: I was very successful. Noel: I’d danced a lot, and been
in a contest, so I was pretty good. Noel: As soon as I joined, I went on TV Noel: with Dandy Sakano. Machu: Awesome. Chaka: Dandy Sakano’s partner. Noel: It was Dandy Sakano and three kids,
including me. Genta: Like Chiemi Blouson. Chaka: Like “with B.” Noel: Expo 2005 was held
in Aichi Prefecture. Noel: That was 20 years ago.
[A World Expo was held
in Aichi Prefecture in 2005.] Noel: For the opening movie,
[A World Expo was held
in Aichi Prefecture in 2005.] Noel: I played the semi-lead role. Genta: Amazing. Noel: I got that gig. Noel: Then, I got a part in
Shiki Theatre Company’s “The Lion King.” All: There it is!
[Dream come true with “The Lion King”!
(Elementary grade 4 – j. high grade 1)] Chaka: The role you wanted.
[Dream come true with “The Lion King”!
(Elementary grade 4 – j. high grade 1)] Chaka: That’s the reason you started dancing.
[Elementary grade 4 – j. high grade 1] Shime: And in just three or four years. Noel: A lot happened quickly. Genta: Wow.
[Started in elementary grade 1.
Dream achieved in grade 4.] Chaka: You had real potential.
[Started in elementary grade 1.
Dream achieved in grade 4.] Shizu: For sure.
[Started in elementary grade 1.
Dream achieved in grade 4.] [Started in elementary grade 1.
Dream achieved in grade 4.] Genta: I mean, it’s Simba.
[Started in elementary grade 1.
Dream achieved in grade 4.] Noel: At the same time, I was studying. Noel: I passed the entrance exams
and got into Aoyama Gakuin Junior High. Chaka: From junior high?
[2006: Entrance exams to Aoyama Gakuin
Junior High. (Elementary grade 6)] Noel: Yes.
[2006: Entrance exams to Aoyama Gakuin
Junior High. (Elementary grade 6)] Umi: A super prestigious school.
[2006: Entrance exams to Aoyama Gakuin
Junior High. (Elementary grade 6)] Shizu: The prestigious junior high.
[2006: Entrance exams to Aoyama Gakuin
Junior High. (Elementary grade 6)] Noel: I guess it is prestigious.
[2006: Entrance exams to Aoyama Gakuin
Junior High. (Elementary grade 6)] Genta: How did you find time to study? Shizu: Seems like you were busy. Chaka: Let’s ask him. Chaka: When did you study? Genta: I just asked! [Chaka the question thief!] Genta: Don’t ignore me.
[Chaka the question thief!] Noel: I studied whenever I was home. Genta: That’s amazing. Noel: I woke up at 6 am each day,
and ran for an hour with my dad. Shizu: Crazy. All: Wow. Noel: I built stamina, went to school,
then practiced dance and performance. Noel: Then, I’d go to the Kumon classes. Shizu: Huh? Noel: That was my routine. Shizu: What about hide and seek? Chaka: Hold on. What about hide and seek? Shizu: Don’t take my question.
[Chaka the question thief returns] Shizu: Didn’t you play?
[Chaka the question thief returns] Noel: I didn’t. I had no childhood. Chaka: You didn’t watch TV, right?
It was never on. Noel: I was a modern-day Yoshi Ikuzo. Chaka: “Ain’t no TV, ain’t no radio.” Noel: No entertainment. Chaka: “Ain’t nothin’ but Kumon.” Chaka: C’mon, Kumon. Noel: My extra studies Noel: continued from elementary school
grade 1 to grade 3.
[Chaka made a great joke, but let’s
ignore it and listen to Noel.] Noel: In that time, I finished math
up to high school grade 2.
[Chaka made a great joke, but let’s
ignore it and listen to Noel.] Shizu: That’s crazy.
[At elementary grade 3,
Noel finished high school grade 2 math.] Genta: You should study age-appropriate math.
[At elementary grade 3,
Noel finished high school grade 2 math.] Noel: It helped with the entrance exams. Chaka: I see. Shizu: I bet they were easy. Noel: I only had to study unfamiliar subjects
like social studies and science Chaka: I can see how you turned out
the way you did. Chaka: You were good at studying. Noel: I wasn’t bad. Chaka: You had potential from back then. Genta: It wasn’t like that for me. Machu: Me neither. Genta: Nor me. Shizu: We barely scraped by in exams. Chaka: “We”? Don’t lump us in with you. Umi: Yeah, please don’t. Shizu: You’re kidding. Shizu: Just me? Chaka: I’ll get mad. Shizu: Hey… Chaka: We’re not the same. Shizu: You’re not the type to study. Chaka: How do you know? Shizu: I can tell. Chaka: Don’t say it on camera.
My parents will cry. Chaka: Moving on.
[Putting everyone’s study habits aside,
let’s get back to Noel’s timeline…] Noel: In 2007, I started junior high.
[Putting everyone’s study habits aside,
let’s get back to Noel’s timeline…] Noel: In October, I passed the audition
to become an idol. Genta: There it is! Genta: Congratulations. Noel: It was the elite audition, too. Machu: I’m curious about that.
[What is the elite audition like?] Shime: What was it like?
[What is the elite audition like?] Noel: Were there a lot of people at the audiotions,
Triple Kaito? Umi/Machu/Chaka: There were. Chaka: With a lot of people. Noel: Shizu, you were in
“School Revolution,” right? Noel: Shime was from that era, too. Shime: There were a lot. Noel: Genta, too. Genta: Yeah, a lot of people. Noel: They were big auditions
with 100 to 300 people. Noel: And about 10 people
would enter at a time. Chaka: Yeah. Noel: Hey! Say! JUMP had just debuted then. Shizu: Oh, right.
[Hey! Say! JUMP
debuted November 14, 2007.] Noel: They wanted a junior group right away.
[Hey! Say! JUMP
debuted November 14, 2007.] Noel: Seven people auditioned. Six passed. Shizu: Wow, seven? Shizu: There are seven of us. Noel: This many auditioned.
This many passed. Shime: Wow. Umi: Amazing. Chaka: They must have picked those seven
based on their resumes. Noel: Probably. Chaka: That’s interesting. Genta: Interesting. Chaka: After performing as young Simba,
how did you end up Chaka: joining that agency?
[What led Noel
from stage actor to idol?] Noel: The reason for this drastic change was
[What led Noel
from stage actor to idol?] Noel: that in my child performer era,
I was not really me. Noel: I was playing a role. Machu: I see. Noel: Which I was assigned. Noel: After playing these roles,
I wanted to try something new. Noel: I wanted to try to fight
using my own strengths. Noel: And present myself
to the world as an idol. Shizu: As a junior high student? Machu: First grade, too.
[All in first grade of junior high] Shizu: That’s not how kids think.
[All in first grade of junior high] Chaka: But you’d experienced a lot already.
[All in first grade of junior high] Shime: Amazing.
[All in first grade of junior high] Noel: Around 2008 or 2009, I bought
KAT-TUN’s “Don’t U Ever Stop” Noel: and tons of other 500 yen
promotional CDs. Noel: I was set on becoming an idol. Noel: That changed my life completely. Chaka: Totally. Shime: Awesome. Noel: While working hard as an idol,
I reached the third grade Noel: of junior high. Shizu: Finally, another Travis Japan member. Noel: During PLAYZONE 2009,
titled “A Letter From the Sun,” Noel: Shime performed with Snow Prince
Gasshoudan, and I met him.
[First meeting with Shime during
PLAYZONE 2009 “A Letter From the Sun”] Noel: My long friendship with Shime began.
[First meeting with Shime during
PLAYZONE 2009 “A Letter From the Sun”] Noel: Shime and I were in groups together, Noel: like JR.A and S.A.D,
which were forerunners to Travis Japan. Shime: So nostalgic. Chaka: Four members, right? Chaka: That was an unusual
selection method too, right? Noel: Yeah, it was Jojo’s dance class. Chaka: “Happy Groovy”? Noel: The “Happy Groovy” choreographer’s
class in this very studio. Genta: Ah, before it changed. Noel: Yes. Machu: With the big stairs. Shime: That takes me back. Chaka: When the Junior channel first started. Genta: With the side mirror. Chaka: Right. Genta: It was always in the way.
[These stairs] Genta: Every time I came to class,
it was in the way.
[These stairs] Noel: I also took Jojo’s class,
and it started Noel: with around 30 Junior members,
but fewer and fewer people got invited. Noel: “Only six today?” Shizu: That’s rough. Noel: “Huh? Just four today?” Shizu: Yikes. Noel: Those four performed at PLAYZONE 2010. Noel: Shime and I were there. Machu: Wow. Chaka: You were both chosen. Machu: Amazing. Shime: We didn’t know anything at the time. Genta: Noel probably knew. Shime: He probably did. Genta: He knew it was an audition. Shizu: He knew how showbiz worked by then. Noel: Then, Travis Japan was formed.
[2012: Travis Japan formed
(High school grade 3)] Shizu: Third grade, huh?
[2012: Travis Japan formed
(High school grade 3)] Noel: Yeah, I guess I was a senior.
[2012: Travis Japan formed
(High school grade 3)] Shizu: You did a lot before Travis Japan.
[2012: Travis Japan formed
(High school grade 3)] Shime: He really did.
[2012: Travis Japan formed
(High school grade 3)] Noel: I started in elementary, so 10 years. Noel: 10 years’ experience. Shizu: Crazy.
[As of 2025, Noel has
23 years’ experience] Umi: Amazing.
[As of 2025, Noel has
23 years’ experience] Shime: A veteran.
[As of 2025, Noel has
23 years’ experience] Shizu: He is.
[As of 2025, Noel has
23 years’ experience] Genta: Incredible.
[As of 2025, Noel has
23 years’ experience] Chaka: That’s so long.
[As of 2025, Noel has
23 years’ experience] Noel: Travis Japan formed in 2012
when I was a high school senior, Noel: and I met Shizu, Chaka, and Umi. [Met Umi, Shizu, and Chaka] Noel: Right.
[Met Umi, Shizu, and Chaka] Chaka: The young ones.
[Met Umi, Shizu, and Chaka] Noel: We had nine members in total.
[Met Umi, Shizu, and Chaka] Genta: Right.
[Met Umi, Shizu, and Chaka] Shizu: We were so edgy. Umi: Who? Chaka: Who? Shizu: Noel. Umi: No, you were the edgiest. Shizu: No, listen. Genta: Don’t slander your elder. Chaka: Noel was edgy too. Shizu: Listen, I… Chaka: You don’t get to say it! Noel: Hahaha…
[Shizu and Noel were working hard and edgy.] Umi: Were you that edgy?
[Shizu and Noel were working hard and edgy.] Umi: Whenever I needed a makeup brush
or something, Umi: I’d go to Noel’s room and borrow one. Chaka: He’s not the kind of person to refuse,
because he’s nice. Chaka: But for the group… Umi: Ah, I get it. Chaka: It’s not because we’re in a group, Chaka: he just wants things
to be a certain way. Umi: That’s why you shaved your head. Shizu: Every time. [As a Junior, Noel suddenly
cut his hair super short…] Noel: Right.
[As a Junior, Noel suddenly
cut his hair super short…] Chaka: When rehearsing for PLAYZONE,
he had long hair, Chaka: but just before the performance,
he went super short. Shizu: I was shocked. Genta: Why? Noel: Around New Year’s, there was a show
called “Takizawa Revolution.” Noel: Shota Totsuka from A.B.C-Z
played a commander Noel: in that show. Noel: He shaved his head in 2011. Umi: He did. Noel: By New Year 2012, it was
the perfect length and looked so cool. Noel: I wanted to look like that. [Noel shaved his head
to look like Shota Totsuka of A.B.C-Z.] Umi: You thought of him
when you shaved your head?
[Noel shaved his head
to look like Shota Totsuka of A.B.C-Z.] Genta: You’re cruel.
[Noel shaved his head
to look like Shota Totsuka of A.B.C-Z.] Umi: I am cruel.
[Noel shaved his head
to look like Shota Totsuka of A.B.C-Z.] Chaka: I was shocked, though. Chaka: You always had long hair. Chaka: I felt your driven energy and
motivation as a junior. Chaka: The short hair amplified that. Noel: I see. Shizu: Edgy hair makes you seem more edgy. Shizu: What am I talking about? Shime: That was quick. Genta: Are you gonna move on
to me and Machu? Noel: You’re hung up on that. Noel: Since last time. Noel: In 2017, I graduated from university,
after 10 years at Aoyama Gakuin. Noel: That summer, we welcomed
Genta and Machu. Noel: On November 19th,
we performed at the bay, Noel: and formed the new Travis Japan. Chaka: Congrats.
[Travis Japan became
a seven-member group.] Noel: Congrats.
[Travis Japan became
a seven-member group.] Shizu: When this video goes out,
[Travis Japan became
a seven-member group.] Shizu: this birth of Travis Japan…
[Travis Japan became
a seven-member group.] [What?] Chaka: What?
[What?] Machu: It’s a bit of a detour.
[What?] Chaka: Huh? What?
[What?] Shizu: When this video goes out, Shizu: we’ll already be at our birthday. Chaka: We’re celebrating the anniversay
of this seven members, right? Chaka: by the release of this video. Machu: Oh, I see. Umi: Why step on the brakes? [Calm down, Shizu!] Shizu: It took too long.
[Calm down, Shizu!] Umi: Wow.
[Calm down, Shizu!] Genta: We talked about this on “with MUSIC,”
but I’m curious. Genta: Shizu, what did you think
about me and Machu joining? Shizu: I hated it. Genta: Did you hear that? Umi: No, Shizu wasn’t exactly against
Genta and Machu joining. Shizu: I wasn’t. Umi: You just weren’t sure. Umi: You didn’t want to go
from five members to nine. Genta: So it’s about the number.
[Shizu didn’t dislike the new members,
but thought five was the ideal number.] Shizu: Right. Arashi and SMAP
both have five members.
[Shizu didn’t dislike the new members,
but thought five was the ideal number.] Shizu: Those who successively
[Shizu didn’t dislike the new members,
but thought five was the ideal number.] Shizu: top the charts
tend to have five members. Genta: I see.
[Scribble scribble…] Shizu: There’s a balance of personalities.
[Scribble scribble…] Shizu: Let’s move on. Shizu: Noel’s been writing this whole time. Chaka: He’s got qualified.
[Qualification] Machu: When?
[Qualification] Umi: What kind?
[Qualification] Chaka: While part of Travis Japan.
[2023: Domestic Travel Services Manager
2024: General Travel Services Manager] Noel: After reaching adulthood,
I made a lot of effort to study
[2023: Domestic Travel Services Manager
2024: General Travel Services Manager] Noel: alongside idol activities.
[2023: Domestic Travel Services Manager
2024: General Travel Services Manager] Shizu: After 2018, huh?
[2023: Domestic Travel Services Manager
2024: General Travel Services Manager] Noel: By the first semester
of my third year,
[2023: Domestic Travel Services Manager
2024: General Travel Services Manager] Noel: I already had all the credits
I needed to graduate.
[2023: Domestic Travel Services Manager
2024: General Travel Services Manager] Umi: Wow.
[After powering through his studies,
he focused on his entertainment career.] Machu: Amazing.
[After powering through his studies,
he focused on his entertainment career.] Umi: Wow.
[After powering through his studies,
he focused on his entertainment career.] Noel: I wanted to spend my last year
and a half on my entertainment career,
[After powering through his studies,
he focused on his entertainment career.] Noel: so I finished everything by then. Noel: After that, I wanted to focus on work. Noel: I barely studied anything
for a year and a half. Noel: Around 2016 or 2017, Noel: Snow Man’s Ryohei Abe was appearing
on a ton of quiz shows. Noel: He said something profound. Noel: I want you to open your ears
and listen. Machu: Anyone got a Q-tip? Umi: Excuse me, the guy next to me
is cleaning out his ears. Genta: I can hear clearly now. Genta: Wow. Noel: Getting screen time on a variety show
requires you to be funny,
[Wise words of Snow Man’s Ryohei Abe] Noel: but on a quiz show,
you just have to be right.
[Wise words of Snow Man’s Ryohei Abe] Noel: He’s a genius. Machu: I see. Noel: If you’re correct, you get screen time. Shime: Interesting. Noel: All that study time
translates directly to screen time. Umi: I see.
[Noel’s studies came in handy
on quiz shows!] Noel: It was a revolution for me.
[Noel’s studies came in handy
on quiz shows!] Noel: When trying to carve out
a niche for myself,
[Noel’s studies came in handy
on quiz shows!] Noel: I realized in 2017
that I could use what I’d studied.
[Noel’s studies came in handy
on quiz shows!] Noel: After becoming an adult. Shizu: So you started studying again. Noel: Qualifications do more
for your reputation than graduating Noel: from Aoyama Gakuin. Chaka: You were motivated. Noel: So I became a certified
Real Estate Transaction Specialist. Shizu: Genta failed at that. Genta: Be quiet. Shizu: We all took a day off on exam day. Genta: Be quiet. Umi: He was so confident. Genta: I went to school for it. Machu: You’re admitting it. Genta: I went to school every day,
studied, and failed. Noel: I got my first national qualification. Noel: Then, I was invited
onto the quiz show “Miracle 9.” Noel: From there, I got to appear
on “Q-Sama,” “Time Shock,” and more. Shizu: Wow. Noel: We toured the country,
I got a main role in a stage show, Noel: and in 2022, I went to study overseas. Noel: Two dreams achieved at once. Genta: We’re all different ages,
with different histories. Genta: But your determination is amazing. Genta: Between qualifications and entertainment
work, you still give time to the group. Noel: The fact that this happened
was very lucky. Noel: At this point, I was 28. Umi: Wow, same as me. Noel: Three years ago. Genta: 28, huh? Shizu: He debuted at the age you are now. Umi: You cooked for me
even while doing all that? Umi: I’m so grateful. Shizu: Is this a stage? Noel: We’re samurai. Umi: I only see that on stage. Chaka: Like Suzaku. Shizu: Suzaku. Noel: So nostalgic. Noel: Did it come across? Machu: You’re so ambitious. Machu: It’s amazing. Umi: Any more qualifications? Noel: Class II Electrician. Noel: The exam is in December.
[A qualification for working on
lighting, outlets, etc.] Umi: You can put outlets anywhere.
[A qualification for working on
lighting, outlets, etc.] Noel: Yeah, I can put one here.
[A qualification for working on
lighting, outlets, etc.] Genta: That’s a bad spot.
[A qualification for working on
lighting, outlets, etc.] Chaka: It’s not like our manager
schedules all this for you. Chaka: You schedule the exams
and check the results yourself.
[Noel researches and schedules
all of his own qualifications.] Shizu: Our manager told him a schedule
change the other day, Shizu: and he said like
“Oh no! I have an exam that day!” Noel: My graduation ceremony
was on March 26, 2017. Noel: I had spent 10 great years
at Aoyama Gakuin. Noel: I also had a Junior concert
the same day. [Noel’s graduation was the same date
as the Yokohama Arena concert.] Noel: I said I wanted to do the concert,
and my parents were furious.
[Noel’s graduation was the same date
as the Yokohama Arena concert.] Noel: “Why aren’t you going
on your final day?” Noel: I said I wanted to dedicate my life
to showbiz, and begged on my knees. Genta: Well said, Noel! Shime: I see. Shizu: You can graduate any time. Machu: Can you? Chaka: It was your dream. Chaka: You also graduated
from the Junior ranks.
[You can’t, huh…?] Noel: Right. Noel: I had been working hard
in the industry. Noel: But I inconvenienced you all
from December 2024 to May 2025, Noel: when I took a break. Welcome back. Noel: Thankfully, I returned to health. Noel: It reminded me how much I love
this seven-member Travis Japan. Noel: Thanks to you all, I was able to rest. Noel: Otherwise, I would have burned out. Noel: I’m really grateful. Thank you all. Genta: Plenty of rest is important. Noel: I’d like to talk more,
but my dreams are still in progress. Noel: Our third album is coming out
at the end of 2025. Noel: And we have a tour in 2026. Noel: I want to have a prime-time TV show
with all seven of you, Noel: and perform in various places. Noel: And become so famous that everyone
in Japan is doing the TJ pose. Noel: We’ll make our fans even prouder. Noel: My goal is for everyone
to get excited about Travis Japan. Genta: Beautiful. [Happy 31st birthday Noel!] Noel: TJ!
[Happy 31st birthday Noel!] Genta: The summary of today is… Noel: Good things will come your way. Noel: Thank you. All: That’s all from Travis Japan. Noel: I’ve remembered how fun
timelines can be. Chaka: It was so interesting. Chaka: It was like an English show
where you show a timeline in English. Shizu: Like a show. Chaka: It was great to watch. Noel: I’m glad. Chaka: It was awesome. Noel: Be sure to rewatch it!
