Will two of them carry TICs (thermal imaging cameras) when they enter? Apparently the system is that four people enter and once they find someone in need of rescue, two more people enter… I was a little worried because the additional two don’t have TICs. They’ll enter by following the hose line. *I was also a little worried because of the language barrier. At the actual fire scene, no one has a TIC. But as this buddy (two people), they’re buddies here (one from the Chinese side and one from the Japanese side), so I thought each buddy would have one. *However, in conclusion, I think each buddy needs a TIC. It’s dangerous. They’ll install a smoke curtain over the opening to block air and slow down the burning. Does this (camera) look okay? A serious accident will occur after this, so please don’t push yourself too hard. First, a total of four people, two firefighters and two searchers, will enter. The first is the firefighter, second is the firefighter (with TIC), third is the searcher (with TIC), and I think fourth is the searcher. Everyone has a radio (walkie-talkie). The room is filled with white smoke, so you can’t see anything without a TIC. The assumption this time was that the fire source and the person in need of rescue were set in different locations. Once the search team finds the person in need of rescue, the additional two will enter using the hose line to assist the rescue. This means that the additional two will need to leave the hose line and join up with the search team. Oda-san, Oda-san, can you hear me? They’ve already entered. I wanted to reply immediately, but I couldn’t find the press-talk button on my radio, so my response is delayed. The Chinese firefighter is trying to say something. What’s wrong? Yes, it’s Oda. I understand you’re “in.” Shall we go back? English: The location of the person in need of rescue is about 20m to the right after entering, then turn right onto the T-shaped corridor and go about 5m further. After that , turn left and he is about 2m away. The fire is at the other end of the T-shaped corridor, so from the T-shaped corridor we will be acting separately from the fire brigade. The further back we go, the darker it gets and you can’t see anything , but the air is rapidly decreasing . When we searched the T-shaped corridor using the TIC, we were told to lie down so that only the toes of the person in need of rescue were visible. In other words, searching thoroughly with the TIC will lead to a quick rescue and conserve air. Currently, four people have arrived near the T-shaped corridor. Mr. Okazaki , what’s up with the (additional) hose unit ? The hose unit hasn’t arrived yet. OK, we’ve gotten separated from Batty
. Hold on a minute. We don’t know if they’re coming behind us. With no TIC, no hose, and no buddy, it’s a very dangerous situation. It seems that the Chugoku Fire Department has probably found the person in need of rescue here . Was he there? They’ll probably radio in to on-site command headquarters. Hold on a minute. He was there! He was there! I don’t know where the confirmed radio is, which will probably be used to radio in contact with the on-site command headquarters. I felt that they needed training to be able to use the radio, lights, and TIC immediately. The firefighting team decided that there was another way to find the fire, so they will turn back.
I’ll go back for a bit. OK, I’ll go. From here, two members of the search team and two additional people will need to rescue the person in need of rescue. Contact the person in need. Seishiro-san, okay ? Do you understand? I’ll help you right away I’ll help you right away I ‘m radioing in now (to call for two more people to help) Is that you and another Japanese rescuer? Also, I’ve chosen another Japanese rescuer I and another Japanese rescuer I want to follow another one of them into continued management Since I was entering with it in my hand, I needed to let go of the TIC in order to rescue them Wait a minute, wait a minute I have a thermal image (TIC) so wait a minute The radio communication is getting more and more complicated Without the thermal image I don’t know the way back I can’t hold the person in need of rescue unless I let go of the thermal image Ugh this is bad I can’t fix the thermal image Hold on a minute Can you hold this? Is there anywhere to put this? I’m binding them down with RINOEVACV2 Residual pressure The residual pressure is 16Mpa My breathing is getting faster and faster With almost no visibility I’m wrapping the strap to rescue them Seishiro, is it tight? Okay, okay , actually it should have been tighter. Okay, time is passing by. OK TIC? Finally, the rescuers begin dragging. Ah, it’s narrow. We have to change the direction so that the head side is the rescue side. Let’s go as is. I’ll turn it around. Can you pull this for a moment? Start the rescue. Ready, go, wait a moment . Just a little more, give me one more, ready, go. Great call, Seishiro-san, I’ll do my best. Since we can’t use TIC, we can rely on the hose. Do you have a hose? (Exit) Which way? An accident will occur soon. This way? Seishiro-san (facepiece) Sorry for holding you down . At this time, the rescue strap came loose towards the head side and the facepiece and helmet shifted. Seishiro-san, are you OK? We were able to get the facepiece to fit on our face, so we continued training. It’s okay to continue. Ready
, go, go. We desperately drag, shouting “Ready, go, go! ” from the Chinese side. If we concentrate too much on pulling “Ready, go, go,” we’ll lose sight of the hose.
The hose is gone, isn’t it? The hose is gone. Where’s it caught? Is it caught? Wait a moment, Seishiro-san , yes, is it caught? Unexpected things happen on site.
The RINOEVAC (rescue strap) has come off. Huh? Has it come off? Maybe my helmet has come off too. It’s come off. That’s bad. First of all, I’m holding down the face mask so it’s fine. The
air supply is secured so we’ll continue training . OK . Did it come off from my armpit? I can’t see what’s going on. Seishiro, is this your hand? This is my hand . Any shape is fine, just put it out and wait a moment. Seishiro , if you’re about to run out of air, I was imagining stopping training and walking out while looking at the TIC.
OK. It’s fine . Hey, can I try pulling it a little? Let’s go. The other units and on-site command headquarters don’t know that there’s trouble here, so radio waves are flying back and forth as usual. We’re going to escape. We’re going to escape. Seishiro, how are you? Seishiro , how are you? Anything is fine, just put it out and it came off? Please say it again. This is bad. This is bad. It’s scary to think that this is the scene. Wait a moment. The fire brigade has begun to escape, which makes me even more anxious.
Let’s escape. Let’s escape. Let’s grab the (breathing apparatus) harness. Okay, okay. Let ‘s start the rescue. : One, two , three, one, wait, it’s okay , we don’t know where you’re coming from (exit), this way? Over here, two more people have arrived, but this team member is having air trouble, Yuuma, can you put your head in? This hose (is the exit) , Yuuma, I happened to hand the TIC to the team member who was having air trouble after us,
can you hold the TIC for a moment ? Please take it, TIC, do you have the TIC? Okazaki wanted both hands free for the rescue,
no no, Yuuma, take it from me, is this okay, Yuuma , can you step back? OK, we continue along the hose, the Chugoku Fire Department is trying to tell us something, NONO? On the opposite side from me, forward, forward, I think the Chugoku Fire Department had probably told us the exit was the other way, ah,
forward? Opposite , Ryosuke, over here, we’re slowly running out of air… let’s go, Seishiro, are you okay, OK , OK, let’s go, Yuuma, can you step back for a moment? Let’s go, it’s very difficult to confirm a way to escape while rescuing someone, where are you ? It looked like it would be very difficult here without a navigator and a rescuer. As we continued behind , we heard that sound… One, two, three , three, one, one, one wheeee (sound of the air about to run out)
Someone’s beeping, it will come out once I’m okay Someone’s beeping, it’s coming out Yuuma Yuuma
Yuuma is in the additional approach group so he should have the most air in him In other words, there’s a problem with Yuuma’s breathing apparatus and he’s letting out all the air at once From here on, everyone will be rescuing without a TIC We keep pulling without giving up until the very end One, two, three , three , three, three, three, three, three, three, Yuuma makes an emergency evacuation and escapes safely What happened? “One, two , three, three, three, we mustered our last bit of strength. Just a little more. And finally… the team members who had been waiting outside came to help. His helmet had come off completely. Normally we would have switched to life-saving measures at this point, but we couldn’t. We didn’t have the time. His helmet had already come off, so it was a serious, serious accident with the Rhino bag. I thought it was really bad. Looking at the situation, you can see that the Chinese fire department doesn’t remove their face masks. They probably tell you to get out of the hot zone. In China, you don’t put on a face mask before the door, you put it on when you enter the hot zone from the warm zone. You’re tired. Yuuma let out his air. That was a bit of an accident , no, it was quick. The alarm went off, and as I said in the morning, the rescue harness came off and my face mask was taken away. I couldn’t breathe, so my helmet came off , but somehow I managed to put it back on and somehow I survived. I think Okazaki was probably really panicked. Okazaki’s Sorry to interrupt your conversation, Okazaki-san. I’ll explain what happened inside. We entered the building to put out the fire and found someone who needed to be rescued, so we went in with four people. We kept searching and about 30 meters in, we found Seishiro (on the ground). We confirmed that he was conscious and breathing, so the Chinese person and I pulled him out. It was incredibly tough. There were a few mishaps, like the way we put the helmet on was a little bit wrong, so the helmet came off and the faceplate got loose, but Seishiro managed to hold him down. If he hadn’t been able to hold him down, it would have been quite difficult, and we would have had to be more careful. It was a bit more like an actual fire scene, a bit different from training (different from training). Thank you for your hard work. I hope that the firefighters who received this video will seriously think about entering buildings and that tragedies like the Osaka fatality accident will never happen again.
Please subscribe, like, and comment! I’m grateful to the Greed members and the Chinese Fire Department for their cooperation in this training. I hope that firefighters all over the world can return home safely today.
