Osaka has lost a ton of weight and just looked like she didn't want to be there. It looked like an exhibition, she didn't go for her shots and was just happy to get the ball in play.
The highlights don't show that Osaka was unwell. Was there at the match. She was coughing in between points and looked slow and fatigued

Good match up. I think people don't remember that Sakkari was the player who ended Osaka's winning streak after her 2nd AO win in Miami. After that, Osaka started her downward trend. Sakkari herself has been inconsistent since, but the athleticism in her game has always troubled Osaka.

The competition has gotten better and naomi has stayed the same. She still.capable of winning slams and beating top 10 opponents but she needs to find a new coach that can help her raise her game. Before she got pregnant and took break from sport..serena was only one that could match her. After she left. So many players got better. Coco/madison keys and alot of other americans got better/iga, emma raducanu, and zheng quinwen came outta nowhere/sabblenka surpassed everybody no one been able to keep this girl from reaching finals in last 2 1/2 years. And overall most women within top 20 have raised their game. Naomi rn just came seem to adjust to the tougher compertition she still stuck in 2018-2020

Sakkari's backhand was looking very sharp cross court. Osaka is looking fit and moving pretty well and stayed in a lot of the longer rallies so that bodes well for the season ahead. Good win for Sakkari here, should give her confidence moving forward. I always liked her as a player and a person.
Honestly Osaka looks a bit lifeless in this match. Sakkari is ok, but I am not convinced she could get back to Top 20.

as a bettor, I can say one thing: I don't know how it happens, but you've probably noticed that when Sakkari leads 5-1 on her serve, she always gives up a break point!!!! ABSOLUTELY ALWAYS! and ends the game on the next break point. Does she have a contract with bookmakers? With these moves, she's destroyed hundreds of millions of dollars for those who bet on obvious outcomes in totals.
