We all know how the cast looked, extremely thin and sickly. If it were Jessie, in the state that Ariana and Erivo were in, how would her body react to cancer, with the debilitated state she would be in, if she got the role?
This is why I say theater kids / Broadway folks just know how to sing. No shade to any other artists that tries to get into Broadway. Broadway people are just trained different.
