the map now and Neil Adams who’s free from commentating on mat two gets to sit in and have a look at this one here we go oh well this is the one we were waiting for this is the one we were talking about and really it is as much as it’s a physical match this is whoever can keep the head who can stay composed focused for the length of time it needs to this is a fight that you plan for six minutes and hope it finishes in 30 seconds you’re probably looking at the next world champion here I’m not going to say which one no I No I I wouldn’t put myself on the line for this one the strength and we know Bashad has actually defeated Abbe before so she she lost his cape was I think it was here i wonder if it was here in Budapest i’ I’d need to look at and the one thing we have said and um Dennis called it well this morning when he said about a both of them they they like to have their own way when they dominate they dominate and they they can flow with a duo they’ve got the skills but when the fight is on that’s the bit that they’re not used to and that’s the thing that they’ll have to really overcome is when someone is aggressive with that determination and fight and that bite like Rousard like Tresniki those type of athletes are the ones that the rights of Abbe just doesn’t like because it’s a fight it’s not a it’s not a contest it’s not about judo it’s about digging in deep and fighting with the best of them getting in the nitty-gritty of it Surely [Music] that can’t be right they’ve gone headto-head on nine occasions nine occasions and what’s the results behind it oh I could believe it i’m quite sure that they’ve been some time so Tony Wazbe into the position oh dear it wasn’t it was in between it was just after the Baku competition the world championships she’d lost to her here but she defeated her in the final of the Grand Slam in Osaka yes home soil so yeah home soiled imagine that yeah that’s uh take a loss in your backyard that’s not nice is it but she beat every other occasion five finals they’ve been in it’s the first time that they’ve ever um appeared in a head-to-head where one of them is going to go home well no score abbe in all fairness is looking good she’s looking sharp [Music] i couldn’t write off she’s got so much experience and she likes that head beam down this is where you’re playing into the hands of Bushard she’s comfortable there because she has that Yoko um she doesn’t want to be given away any shid not to someone with his experience you can let the first you let the first one go but she followed it followed it up very quickly with a second but the the thing was I was talked about yesterday she kept the grip and Abbe wasn’t disadvantaged she she kept her grip so you have to allow Abbeby the advantage cuz she’s still standing and if Bad continues the grip then Bad gets up and she’s at a disadvantage so that’s why I think they’ve said no penalty here oh Abbe is like one after the other she’s not allowing Bashard to settle in at all she’s keeping it fast she’s keeping it moving all the time she’s not getting into the nitty-gritty she’s not getting into the head crunching she’s not getting into that right angle and position she is just going for it all the time that clock is ticked away so quickly i can’t believe we’re less than a minute into this contest that’s unbelievable the action here is just keeping us on the edge of a chair and there’s still no score but no she’s too active and just you know allowed a little bit here and there where they may have said a false attack or whatever no you just keep going as long as you keep in contact you keep going but Abbe is dominating the pace that’s what’s good about this she’s dominating the pace and there you have Jane Bridge she’s the one of the coaches for French Tudo first ever world champion for Great Britain just held on to one side for a little bit too long yeah and picked up the penalty there’s Brousard right well they stay in focus well this is the bit that she doesn’t like the head goes down brousard is comfortable there she waits but the head comes back up she then corrects her positioning it’s that little categora yeah it’s the That’s what we’re waiting for but AB knows it good call up from uh Loretta first up where she said they’re looking at six minutes and hoping that we’ll end in 30 seconds well the 30 seconds have gone so I’m looking more at 6 minutes and with golden score underway four have gone we’re into the uh golden score period refuse to say how long this one last is determined she’s looking good out there and and she has for the majority of this contest dictated the pace of the the the whole movement she’s kept busy she’s kept disengaged in that head-to-head situation she’s not playing into the the arms of Bashard who likes to be up close and personal so she can come underneath with that head and drive off to the side abby needs a head up strong effort from Bousard [Applause] that was a good strong attack there but the positions were swapped there yeah when when um Abby got on top yeah the danger for Abby is her head being lower than Bashard’s she has to stay ahead above Abbeby yes things look completely different when the head one head the head difference that’s all it is it’s the head difference that’s She got forced into that she got forced into it because her head was down she had to come up with something and she came up with that little katakarum which attack which is a force attack so a minute and 8 seconds into golden score working off the sleeves looking really busy again head up moving creating space not allowing Bashard to get anywhere close to her and this is what she’s got disengage in the contact but stay feet busy with the feet and the kumikata throws the arm she had to leap forward for that that’s a danger like it wants to get away again heads is up close absolutely close on that one that was that was one of the best so far really had to drive and that hand was the savior he could have even broke her own hand doing that but there’s the third penalty well it’s not nice to see the It was an exciting fight there’s no doubt about it but pressure was on Bashard and they just kept the pressure

  5. What a shame, this is not judo, most of the rhetoric is spent on fringe issues rather than practicing the art of judo.

  7. Hungarians deliberately allowed Belarus to compete in this judo tournament. It's not fair. Belarus supports Russia's war in Ukraine. The Russian team is banned from this judo tournament. Hungary is flirting with aggressive countries like Russia and Belarus too much. Ban the Hungarian judo tournament.

  9. A pity it had to be decided by penalties but Abe had the majority of the convincing attacking. I was expecting more of Buchard but she was too passive.
