Niaomi allowed the crowd to get to her mentally. She stopped trying in set 2 and the wheels came off completely in set 3. Piss poor performance really on her part! I hope her coach had a few strong words with her after!

Mboko played great there‘s no doubt about it and she clearly deserved the win. It‘s a pitty that Naomi lost faith in herself in the middle of the third Set. Technically she is the better player. Her weakness is the Mental thing. If she‘ll be able to handle that with a Mental Coach or so she‘ll pretty soon get back to her former strenght. She‘s put in so much work in her Comeback and fitnesswise she’s in really good shape so there‘s a good Chance she‘ll lift a Trophy in the near Future.

I think black girl can dominate this Tennis. Black men as well. Imagine LeBron serving ? And the wide coverage arm span? And the speed and athleticism found in black people? I do not understand why Osaka continues to torture herself by trying to play. She obviously does not have the mental strength. She's extremely wealthy from her success years ago. She has a child to raise. Years ago it was apparent she had more interest in the causes of the day rather than tennis. I hope for her sake she will find something to do that will stabilize her life.

I can’t help but wonder if Osaka didn’t want to win another tournament where the hometown favorite was playing in the final. The last time that happened people were booing. Not at Osaka, but they were booing and she was very unhappy with that win. I believe that scar is still there.

wta highlights are appalling…how could they have missed the point of the whole championship (men or women) when Mboko managed to get to that drop shot by Osaka and hit a winner.
Amazing to see Mboko play at a high level, definitely going to be top player .. Naomi just seems bitter, she is not happy with how life turned out. Maybe she feels made bad choice with love child etc, very silly. Could have been an all time great and then have a family like Chris or Steffi !!
