Inside The Studio Style Squareback 2 With Scotty Cameron

Wanted to bring your attention. We have a fast growing putter on tour for us. And the way it started, you know, our new port two is very crisp little corners. Um, thinner top line. Mallets are growing in popularity. And the goal was to take this thought here of the Newport two and make it wider. the putter was going to be too heavy because of its width. So to make it more of a mallet, we’ve taken and made it stubbier. We’ve kept the same exact neck, but this midsection, see how we got a big wide area, we got a thin. We took this out. I wanted this Now, in order to hit weight, and the weight, let’s call it 340 g. 340 g, but it’s much wider. This here is out of aluminum. Then here is seeth through to the ground and aluminum. So, it’s the same putter, wider, stubbier to create a mallet, same offset, same swing as a Newport two, but this here is a square back. It’s square. The back has been brought out. It’s been stubbier to be in the mallet family. It’s the same offset. This product here, again, this is a ground. This is aluminum. This got stretched off the backside. Top line’s a bit thinner again, so I could hit weight, but also I wanted these three to kind of match. One, two, three versus a Newport one, two, three. Stretched, more forgiving, more of a mallet shape. And because this looked funny with a sight line having a gap, I simply put the sight line on the top line to keep it simple. So the new squareback being used on tour, square back two, two being the plumbing style neck. [Music] Our most popular blade model just got converted. into a widebody mallet, but the same look, just stubbier and wider, being more forgiving, more moi, moment of inertia for offc center hits. So, if you’re a fan of this and you’re looking for a little more forgiving and more of a mallet effect, we’ve got this here. Both of these have a slight arc to the back. Very popular right now on tour. Very much a trend of being mallets versus blades. So the new port two versus a square back two. Two being the plumbing style neck.
