Ep. 19 – WEST. | Streaming Near You
Domo Peno. Hello. Welcome everybody to Penite Chronicles where we’re just three friends who want to share our love for Stardo idols with you. Hello everyone. I’m Michael. And I’m Zoe. And this week, if you’ve previously heard the podcast already, Hoshi is taking a break because she’s having a wonderful time in Japan. And how could we possibly disturb her time by trying to fit in a episode recording no matter how interesting this piece of news is? So, it’s Zoe and I. We’re here. And don’t worry, we’ve invited a special guest. Everybody, please welcome Sabina. Hello. Yay. Hi. Hello. It’s me. I am Sabina, your full-time overachiever and part-time Chaos Gremlin. And I think most people in the fandom might know me as Sabi, Sabina, or even Rhea, depending on how long you’ve known me, but I go by many names. Sometimes I don’t even know what my own name is. Oh, well, that’s some wonderful introductions. I know. I know. So, please do tell me who am I? No, but I am the editor-inchief or owner of Dumpling Box, a platform based on joy, passion, and love for Japanese entertainment with a little slight bias for start idols. I wonder why, but and it’s for you, by you, and with you. But uh yeah, I mean at the end of the day, I’m just like everyone else listening here. Another passionate fan with way too many pen lights, acrylic stand, and a dangerous habit of impulse buying goods. Oh yes. Oh, the danger. Our wallets have never been the same. No, no, no, no, no. Oh, we’re we’re not talking about how fast those pennies go away every time payday is around. Oh gosh. Yeah. And yeah, and as with many others, my heart might beat a little way too fast for some idols that have a certain shirt allergy. But yeah, but anyway, I’m really excited to be here today and I can’t wait to dive into all the things of fandom with you guys. So, thank you for having me. Yeah. Thanks for coming. Great to have you. Yes. Thank you. Thank you. So, today today is a special kind of announcement day. I know I’m very excited. I don’t know how excited the two of you are. Oh, I’m very excited, too. Yeah. So, coming off of our September 3rd episode, if everybody has heard it, we were talking about streaming. And so today, and honestly, if you haven’t been paying attention, then you know this piece of news is significant. We are talking about more startle content being available on streaming and this time we’re looking at it from a music point of view. So, if you haven’t heard, West had announced that they’ll be releasing their current discoraphy from 24 singles and 11 albums onto streaming platforms as of October 1st. That’s today. Yeah, let’s go. Yeah, it’s a total of 360 songs, which is insane to think about. Who just drops 360 songs out of nowhere? Well, Kismay did something similar. True, true, true, true, true, true, true, true. But it’s still absolutely insane to think about. I mean, we’re also talking about Stardo in a way. It’s like, look at how things were a few years ago. This was unheard of. So even even if we got one song, which I mean understandable if they release one song or two like but here we go with their current discoraphy. I was like no more CDs even though I love them but hello. It is. And then you’re saying that on October 12th there’s going to be another wave of releases of all these tracks that are live recordings from concerts and festivals. And I just can’t believe they’re giving us this. I know. Yeah. That’s I think also I think a little bit more exciting because I think that’s like something that adds even more to the like I guess it’s appeal because like you get to hear like their actual live recordings. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And West is so strong when it comes to like musicality. I’ve just all the festivals that they’ve been going to have been something that I really wish I could go to. Just that energy. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. And it’s Yeah, it’s it’s just a whole different it it it just gives a whole different feeling to their music in a way. It’s like Yes. this kind of clean sound that we get from studio recordings and everything. It’s it’s great because it’s high quality and you know growing up with all these uh recordings that we’ve heard from behind behind all the hidden gates of everything. It’s It’s great to hear everything in high quality, but also hearing it from a more raw perspective and sound, it just it really gives you the chills. I know. And you can hear the fans, too. I assume the energy, it feels so good. And I just cuz they also do like the Audi like the actual like um I don’t even know what the English word for this is, but it’s basically like the ad libs where they’re like hyping the crowd up or like calling for like audience interaction. So like you don’t get that in the regular recorded tracks, but the live recordings is going to be like so much more impactful. Yeah. Especially those like with the ad lips and all the color responses as well. Yes. Yeah. I just need Shea to yell at me. I mean, don’t we all? Oh, he he doesn’t need to yell at me. That’s I I’m good. She honestly scares me. His energy scares me. Oh, I love it. He’s an absolute gremlin on stage and I live for it. Oh, he really is. I mean, I I I usually say every time I see him, I’m like, where is his babysitter? Someone put a leash. Literally, he is the other woman. No, they just let him go. They’re just like, we can’t control him. Like, let him let him do his thing for 10 years. Just let him if he wants to run. Exactly. If he wants to run to center stage just to like Yeah. Let him tire himself out. Be weird. Just Yeah. That’s how you put children to sleep, right? You tire them. Yeah. No, I I do remember. I think it was the We Are Stard concert or something. I remember watching it and I was like, “What is happening? What is he on? Why is he so high?” I was like, “I love it.” But also someone put a leash on him because everyone was just looking at him and it’s like, “Okay, well now there was like, yeah, there he goes.” And you know, the best part about that was West Wes was probably too busy being like, “Yeah, we’re we’re he is like this.” No, just it’s everything’s okay. Everything he’s just like this. Mhm. I think Jun even told him to stay put. Like Jun was like, “Please, please behave. Please.” And he’s and then she goes like, I don’t hear you. I I I don’t understand Japanese anymore. I have selective hearing. Your voice suddenly does not compute. Yeah. It’s like I heard you say run. I don’t know where, but I will run. Was that not what you expected from me? Yeah. Expect nothing less. But yes, very very excited. And just cuz I know that Sabina is a relatively experienced West fan and of course Zoe gets to go to their concerts now. So I’m the newbie and at the beginning of this year in the beginning of our podcast I did say that this is the year that I’d spend more time on West. Evidently, I have had no time to spend on West. No. But this this is like this is like the universe is like we heard that you were supposed to spend more time on West, so we have now given you an opportunity to do so whenever you want. Mhm. The year is not over yet. You just have to cram everything into these few months that are left. Yeah. You know what? That’s fine. I can do it. That’s what commutes are for. Exactly. One single at a time. One album at a time. Honestly, that’s what I’ve been doing with like Kisumi’s discoraphy. Like I know like their singles, but I don’t know. Like I haven’t listened to most all of the albums and the B sides either. So being on streaming, I’m actually now putting more effort into actually listening to everything. So, I’m going to do the same for Wes cuz I I am also not a very experienced or knowledgeable fan. Like I am still very new. So, I’m looking forward. I Yeah, I mean if it if they have been around for so long like like with many other groups as well, but I think it’s just you you happen or tend to you know just know them. They have such huge public like recognition and everything. It’s like even if you don’t know a lot of their B sides or album songs is like the A sides and the main singles that they have, it’s like everybody knows about them. So it’s not escape and I go. Yeah, exactly. So yeah, even if I haven’t like kept up with everything they’ve been releasing and everything since their debut and everything, it’s still like I can’t call myself a fan, but it’s like I know that some have been, you know, watching all their makings and all everything and all concert DVDs and everything. It’s like I’m not really there yet, but I’ve heard and seen my fair share of things and it’s like I know what they’re capable of and that that’s for me is enough. And just the fact that they their music and them themselves, they bring so much joy to everyone with just just their music and that Yeah. Know it’s it’s just amazing and it’s just I’m very excited to share West with the world. Yeah. I’m used to being gatekeep just because, you know, language barrier and all of and like physical media barrier and all of that fun stuff, right? So, being able to now be like this group is so good. You don’t even need to be into J-pop. You don’t need to be into idols to like think they’re amazing. And that I think is the versatility of West, which makes me I’m generally mixed feelings when it comes to streaming. But Wes coming to streaming I’m 100% for. Wait, why are you What are your mixed feelings? My only generally mixed feelings about streaming is because it’s not a permanent source, so it could be taken down whenever the licensing expires or like like convoluted things, right? So, I’m I’m generally not like mixed feelings, but I feel like West, no matter how long this discoraphy stays on, whatever, I feel like the world needs to know just how good they are. Like, they’re not just like J-pop. They’re not just idols. Their music is just something else. Yeah, they do have a completely different vibe musically. So, this means that it’s going to go all the way to Aaho, right? Like Aaho is also going to be up on streaming which is good because I actually have not listen to AO. Yeah, I Yeah, I would assume so. Yeah, I think it’s everything that’s been released to date. Yeah, I’m always hoping that this means it’s a step to a little bit more international activities. Like, let’s be honest. I definitely sat there and was just like, I am envious of Zoe being able to go watch West. I’m generally not I’m I don’t really have FOMO. I’m very good with not with my fear of missing out. It’s generally not in existence in my life. I’m generally pretty good. I’m happy if you get to go to that concert, even though I don’t get to go to that concert. But I do have to say when you went to West Award, I was a little bit like that’s what I really want to go to. There’s always going to be that kind of feeling, especially when you’re not living there. It’s like you do love your friends and you love that they get to experience something, but it’s it’s still going to be a little a small feeling. It’s like I also want to go. I also want to be there. So, I’m really hoping that when they say like live concert content, I’m going to be able to get that feeling of that concert. I think you will. You can just like Yeah. turn turn the lights down and just put their music on blast and just like vibe. Just sit there, bring out the pen lights and everything. Yeah. Yeah. I have a couple of like concerts that I love and I now that I’m having this like it’s in my head now that I can now bring these concerts with me. That’s true. You’re going to be very you’re going to be very busy. I’m so excited. I’m so excited. Like I’m really excited to be able to show people like the songs. I’m really like, “Oh my god, I can’t wait to loop for life all the classics.” I don’t know that I want to blast Asian at people, but I definitely want to blast Asian on a really, really sunny day and I’m feeling good. Mhm. I think it’s a good song to just be cheerful, but I feel like I’ve heard it so many times now. Like they perform it quite a bit and I’m just like I think I can listen to something else. They’re the only group that very consistently still sings their uh debut song. It’s It’s just like so iconic. Like I don’t know if they’re ever going to be able to not. Yeah. And I think it’s it might also be just because it’s so easy for the general public as well. It’s like even if you even if someone goes to a concert and they have never really heard a lot of stuff that that song also just sticks with you. Mhm. Yeah. It’s like you don’t it’s like even if you don’t remember the whole song, you just remember the you remember the chorus and that’s Yeah. That can live with you for weeks. It is honestly the most catchy chorus. It’s like something you would just hear on the street like a jingle kind of. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think yes. Music-wise, I think like a in in a sense is very timeless in a way. It’s it’s not when you listen to some songs nowadays, you know that these songs are not going to be as popular in a few years because this sound is just trending now and then it’s going to die out somehow. It’s unless you know there’s a resurgence of this kind of genre or trend or something. But I think like a and a lot of West songs in general, they they keep to this kind of classic J-pop sound that a lot of people can’t get really tired of. So it’s whether you like like constantly like it or not, it’s just you can’t really say it’s like, “Oh, I’m tired of this. Oh no, I don’t like this.” Because if you don’t like it, you don’t like J-pop in general. Pretty much. Yeah. So yeah. So yeah, I just think they have that kind of classic timeless feel. It can’t go wrong whether it’s for a 5-year-old or a 25 year old or 40 or 65 or 85. Yeah, it really is. That’s true. Like for me, I feel like if you’re going to talk what feels like a very classic west song for me would be Shoko. Sho. That’s the That’s the song that got me to be like become a fan. M like it was during um Johnny’s Fest. That was a very dangerous concert, but Oh, that’s when I I adopted like Kismay and West and it was because of like the songs that they performed because they’re such iconic songs, but also was like songs that they they don’t typically do. So, it was a very different image. Well, I guess for me because I only knew like their like aa and like everybody go, but then they both did like a different like they they well Jun picked different songs for them and those were the songs that got me. So is just amazing. It really it showed like that they have like this different side to them like their band side and also like the way they performed it was very like powerful. So Shoko was like I I put that on my list for like top streaming picks for West. Like I definitely am going to repeat that. Same same. I think because I don’t really know West discoraphy through albums. I know their discoraphy through through concerts. H. So, the one song that I’m oddly looking forward to looping and I’m really hoping that it exists is uh vanilla to choco. Is that what it’s called? I’ve never even heard of this song. I think it’s in the mixed research time. I think it’s in the mixed juice concert if I’m remembering the outfits correctly. And it’s a song that she wrote and they play it as like an acoustic group. All seven of them sit down and play it. And she wrote it and it’s it’s the most slice of life adorable thing that you would never think she would pen. Mhm. And it’s basically about a boyfriend and a girlfriend who had a fight and the boyfriend had to go to the convenience store and he’s buying ice cream to go home and make up with his girlfriend. I was like, this is so cute. That’s so cute. That’s so cute. Okay, now I have to listen to this. Yes. So, I’m really hoping I’m really hoping it’s on there. If it’s not on like an album or a single, then I’m hoping it’s part of the live series. I I would hope it’s like I would hope it’s a song that was on a CD like I would think so. Yeah, it’s from I I found it. Yeah, it’s from Koaku Bside. Yeah. So, vanilla kakoko. Yes. I I also love kido. It’s such a good song. Kidoaku is what got me. Their version of like the first take but not the first take performing this. Oh my god. That’s what got me. Yes. I love this song so much because of that. Every time I hear the opening, I just like flashback into Hamachan in that ridiculous outfit. And it’s just that was great. So good. Oh yeah. I just think about she being the first one to like be quote unquote pranked and then being like, “Well, if we’re going to prank everybody, let me join in.” So good. He’s just It was so good. Aaku. Yeah, that’s another Yeah. I also want to pick YSSB. Of course. If you like YSSB, I can’t wait for you to get to Candy Shop and and Push. Oh my god. Candy Shop. That literally sounds like a 50 Cent like the 50 Cent song. That’s That’s what I thought, too. And it’s not It’s not uh It’s a tamer version of the 50 Cent song. Oh, wow. I looked I I hunted down the lyrics and I was like, “Oh, wow. Oh, no. Oh, I also want to listen to um Is it Into Your Eyes or In Your Eyes?” Yes, Into Your Eyes. Into your eyes. Yes, I’m gonna Into your eyes. Yeah, I’m gonna have that on loop, too. Very excited for this October 1st. Let’s go. Yes. I think for me, what like one of my personal favorites, especially since this was what got me like kind of reintroduced me back to West uh is Fate because I absolutely love Fate. I do think it’s because like Yeah, I I do think it’s because like when I first saw it when they released it, I was like this is not the image that I had of West. It’s like I know they’re great musicians and everything, artist and all, but it it just hit me differently. And also because I knew that I was probably going to go and see West for their award Dome Tour as well, I was like, I probably should get back into this rabbit hole. That release really got me going back into also because well they were on YouTube finally and yes it was a lot easier to find main like the main releases and everything and something to listen to because how do I catch up on like 10 10 to 14 years of music in a few months like uh where do I begin? Then YouTube was a great start because I was like I I know I won’t be able to catch up on everything, but I want to be able to go into this concert and this dome show with something that I’m like uh like feeling I’m not going to be that lost. So yeah. So no, Fate is I think it’s just also so such a different genre for them or just starter in general to do. So, it just really got that kind of grip on me. Be like, uh-uh, I’m not going to let you go and you got to stay. Mhm. Mhm. Mhm. I’m going to need to revisit that, too. Yeah. Yeah. For me, I think my first thought when I heard about the streaming news is that, oh, my uh my energy exercising playlist just got larger cuz West is really good for the high energy and that’s what I like. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they are. Basically, you can put all the live recordings. I know. Oh. Oh, I never even thought about that. Oh, realization. Oh. Oh. When she gets running down that stage, I can be running. Yes. Exactly. And you can you can you can see who’s going to last the longest. Who’s going to run the fastest and the boys? I do not want to be in a competition. He’s He’s got so much energy. Probably him. Yeah. Uh Yeah. No, but I I’m looking forward to just also put everything into like a playlist of in a way it’s like not only real like really good m like music songs like like Choco Faith and such but also something that is more Kai because they they they do like like you said they have such a high energy and everything but they also have so many songs that embrace the roots. in a way that not many other groups have. And I think that is a wonderful thing for them to do. So, it’s kind of like, well, this is J-pop, but this has the Kai flavor. And here’s why we in the Kai swamp, like why we love them. This is what what’s sets them apart from just Yes. not simply being J-pop. Yeah. Yes, I agree. Osaka. I I I Yes, that’s what I was thinking. I was also thinking about um Oh, shoot. Well, I was thinking about I know Dor, but um Oh my god, that’s not even the same. No, that’s not But that cuz it’s the song that happens after the song I’m thinking of and I can’t think of the name. Is it Zinduko Paradise? Yes, that is also a good one. Um I’m also thinking about the Chahan one. What a what a title. Oh, no. I’m going to I’m going to start singing and we’re going to get Oh, um I can’t help it. Every time I think about Chahan, I start singing. Oh my goodness. It’s like it’s like this is becoming an inadvertent karaoke session. Yeah. Yeah. The thing is West is also so catchy. They are. They really are. Like I really enjoy their last three album releases like Juice Power. Please listen. Well, I guess you will listen to it soon. I will listen after this. I will go back in time as in like I’ll start from and then go back in time. Oh, okay. I think that’s the plan. Yeah. H. And they surprisingly have songs that fit my like falling in love playlist. I call it my falling in love playlist. It’s for like when I’m like I want this sort of like it’s songs like um something new or like Oh, okay. where it’s inherently a little bit more romantic. I see. which is always odd to think about with West but or like well you have you have nomchan and you say I guess yes that’s that’s about it oh you have a like in love playlist too you have so many genres yeah it rarely gets used rarely gets used every once in a while I’m like I feel like I’m feeling a little bit like I want that feeling and then I put that on. Meanwhile, I just throw everything into a monster playlist. Like, it’s literally just a Stardo playlist and I just shuffle. So, I have like 2,000 songs in there. I I I do the same for like general commuting and like that kind of stuff. So the playlists are really just for energy specific moments. Sabi, what are your playlist habits? H I mean usually usually just throw things into something depending on the release. Other than that, the only playlist that I do make is probably if I have like a convention or like an event that I’m going to where I need to have like a playlist or something to promote, then I try to make sure that I throw things in. But but with the uh playlist that I have for Dumpling Box, I have I have it for about it’s I keep it to around 90 minutes so I can fit in like a whole recent album or a mix of like the recent releases. So, and I we try to keep that updated a lot more regularly than I do with my own playlists. Fair enough. Yeah. prepare. Uh, priorities. Yeah, absolutely. Priorities. Yeah. October 1st, midnight local. I’m excited. Local. I know. Well, by the time we release this Yeah. Well, it’ll be available by then. Yeah. Yeah. By the time we release this, all of it will hopefully be available in your region. Mhm. Yeah. And then the world would just listen to me blasting YSSB as I drive to work every Oh yeah, you have to roll your windows down. What is this? What is this like gatekeeping business? Everybody needs to watch me dance and sing to YSSB at like the top of my lungs. Especially when they’re like saying that line. Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. I’m not even ashamed. That’d be hilarious. Please do it and report back. The public won’t know what hit them. No. No. Well, no. I don’t. Yeah. No. There’s just no other way of saying it other than no. The public not know what hit. Now, now that like they’re on Spotify, too, it’s like you can send their music to people. Mhm. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that’s awesome. We’re not just relying We’re not just relying on those like half MVs anymore or just whatever’s on YouTube. Also, you can send it to You can also send them as requests to radio stations as well. Really? I didn’t. I mean, I I I mean, I think that also depends on like what kind of uh radio station it is and and such. But if it’s if it’s like digitally released, it’s a lot easier for Oh, at least from at least from from from here, it’s kind of like if it’s digitally released, they it’s easier for radio stations, at least the more public known radio stations to get to uh to play them without having the actual right, you know, uh the rights or the files or or anything because it’s it’s a it’s a public it’s a But if you but if if you’re Yeah, I know there’s a lot of online radio stations and everything. I don’t really know exactly how they work or if they do anything, but from some stations I know from where I’m from there is like you can you can just request these things and if I mean if they are on if they are available online it’s it’s definitely a lot easier for them to find find it. Okay. and somehow get it. I I guess. And I mean it should probably be kind of the same in a way cuz it it’s kind of like well you don’t even even if you play something if you play it from a local server you don’t get any revenue from it as an artist or anything but if you if you still play it from the from YouTube or from Spotify it’s you’re still playing it and adding to the revenue even if it’s very tiny tiny admissally small on But you’re it’s just as long as you have the rights to stream music in general, which most of these stations do, then streaming it from a Spotify or YouTube link uh shouldn’t be a problem. But in even so, it’s like you said, you can send it to pe send it to friends and people. It’s just easier because here here you have a link and then if you like this song then they might check out the rest of it by being on streaming. Honestly, my first thought when they said streaming was yes, I can use it for Instagram music now. Oh yeah, true. Yes. Cuz that was my first thought when Kisumi released their stuff and like Oh my god. Yes. I’m just like finally my my stories and my reals and my whatever I put out reflects truly what I am feeling in that moment. Yeah. Oh, it’s also like now when you say it’s like if you upload something that is relevant to it, it’s like you want to add a song from from them. Exactly. That fits this. It’s like, oh, even if it’s like West Stones, Snowman, or anyone else, it’s like you want that to tie into it as a whole experience, not just a visual experience, but the audio as well. And you are right. That is going to be so much fun. The world of like shopping hauls, shopping haul videos, unboxing videos have changed. Yeah. And also Tik Tok. So many possibilities. I’m so excited. Where to start? I know, right? Oh, work is about to get so much better. I think I want to be very distracted. You tend to be though. The music’s not going to help. Yeah, we’re sorry to Zoe’s and fuel my ADHD even more. Would you like some of my multitasking abilities? Oh yes, I would ship you some. I would. That would be great. Please share some with me as well. I hyperfocus too much. It’s like I I I cannot multitask. I mean, I I do multitask, but it’s not the kind of multitasking that I want to. Like Apparently, my multitasking skills are a little bit too um strong. Yeah, it’s crazy. Oh, but I was also thinking, yeah, I mean that’s great, but yeah, I was also thinking with how we talked about how it’s going to be easy to send West and everyone else as well uh to friends and everything. uh with how they have so much content on uh YouTube for example and everything now compared to before, but also now uh also now the rest of their songs on uh streaming plus performance videos and everything and the live recordings uh that are uh coming that will also be a lot easier for people to send to promoters and other uh festivals. M like globally as well to say like oh look we have we this group is doing great they are great at this blah blah blah check them out because usually like usually how do how do you promote a group to to a place like a local festival or something who are looking for you know branching out to invite other you know uh artists or groups uh outside of your country, how are you going to promote them? Being like, well, here is a performance that uh I have from their live DVD that has only been released physically, but I have a lot more that you should also look at. But why do they care about that? except when you when you watch uh not watch when you send them uh music videos or performance videos and everything they can also look at the hard numbers on it. So I think this also opens up so much more possibility for them to uh go to a lot of other uh music festivals or uh other things not only possibly globally but also in in Japan. That’s very So what I’m hearing is it’s time to start a letterw writing campaign to festivals. Yeah, exactly. Th this streaming announcement and everything, it it will bring a lot more possibilities to the table for West. They do so well at like festivals no matter where they go. They do. They really do. Exactly. Like I would actually go to my first music festival if they were there. Wow. Same. Yeah. They should just bring Western around the world. They should. Oh my god. That’d be crazy. pick up local artists. It’ll be great. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there are I mean, there are festivals all over the world anyways, all like at any given time of the years. Just pick one. And I was like, well, going to match it with the lo locals. Bring bring the cultures together. I feel like I feel like if they brought Western to the world and just go for like locals and indie groups and singers and bands, that could work out real well. It’s It’s W vibe anyway. Yeah. Because then also even if West for example, if West were to go uh overseas, they like they have a lot of fans overseas, but then again, they would also not be as known as they are in Japan. So having them, you know, work together with local indie bands or like locals that would just bring Yeah. It it would just bring them together in a sense of like well you’re not popular, we are not popular, but you are way more popular than we what we are here in your local area, but you will maybe be more popular once we also bring this back to the synergy Japan where we are. Yeah, maybe May. Yeah, maybe this should be my next next event project cuz I was just thinking Traa brought on the world of dance dancers at all of their events at all of their uh uh American uh tour and then they did bring on local people in the Asia tour, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they did. Exactly. So, Wes can just do the same. Start out Stardo. We have the best marketing plan for you right now. If you’re listening, call us. Exactly. Listen, we we got this. We got this. Yeah. This would be so cool. We have a vision. We We can do this. We will figure it out for you. Yeah, exactly. And like their English is quite good, so I’m not even concerned. Isn’t Jun also like almost fluent in it as well? Really? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, I thought it was just But I don’t I don’t think is Yeah. I But I don’t think he’s putting it on display as much as Hamachan does. I mean, I know Hamachan is he’s gotten really good. Yeah, Habachan’s pretty fluid. Juna is triilingual like he’s a polygot. Huh. Then you have Nonchan and his random Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Nonchan’s English is, you know, actually not bad either. Yeah. West is surprisingly like fluent. Yeah. And and I mean then we also have She who survives on being himself alone. So Exactly. You don’t have body language. She body language all the way. I mean she went to what the Philippines, wasn’t it? Yeah. multitasking skills put to the very test. Very passionate. We are very passionate. Yes. Yes, we are. But in the meantime, you can always put together your own mini festival at home now with the streaming. If you want to watch them in actions, West has actually uploaded quite a few performances like from festivals from their concerts and it’s on their YouTube. I prefer those over their music videos. I’m not going to lie. M West in action, like an actual action, is just so much better. It’s a whole body experience. And I I’m I’m just going to do some self-promoting as well with with that as well. And with uh now that we’re talking about the performance videos and music videos, they every majority like a vast majority of their music videos and performances also have English subtitles as well. And uh because Dumpling Box and a lot of other uh vest fans, Jasmines have been working hard the past years ever since we could uh add subtitles to it to make sure that we keep up with uh the music content. So we we just want to make it a little bit easier for people to follow along and feel more connected to it. That’s awesome. Yeah. So, that said, then I would highly encourage people to check out West’s YouTube now that we have confirmation. A lot of it is subbed for English for your enjoyment. Thank you, Dumpling Box and all our very dedicated West fans out there. And if you want just to know how unhinged Wes can be, we also suggest you checking out their Tik Tok at we are West7. And that’s seven the number, not seven the word. And they’re I I I can’t describe what they are. They’re just west. Yeah, they’re special. They’re very special. Yeah. Yeah. If you want to laugh a lot, like my abs hurt kind of laugh because you don’t need to know Japanese to to laugh at them. That and that’s the that’s also like what? Yeah. Laugh at them or laugh with them. Both. Both. both. But that that’s that’s the like magic of it in a way. It’s like you don’t need to understand what’s actually going on to have fun. Mhm. The beauty of West. Yeah. They are so chaotic and that’s what makes them so fun to watch. I just realized this is a bad time to say this, but if you really want to learn about them individually, they all also have their own social media accounts. Every member except she is on Instagram. Uh but that’s too many handles to drop right now. Yes, it’s it’s a lot. Yes, that’s six six people. Yeah, but I they they should I mean the official West uh Instagram should also follow them, right? So it should Yeah, they’re quite like present on social media. like thinking about this, I find it fun. Yeah, I like that they’re so present and accessible and I like Juna’s also on X. So, like that’s another platform where you can interact or like see content from them. So, there’s a lot there’s so much West content. Yeah. Yeah. I think at this point I I know it’s not true, but I’m going to say that we have exhausted a lot of what we wanted to talk about today. Is there anything else we want to add before we say goodbye to everybody? Stream them, watch them, share them. Exactly. Stream it. Share it with everyone. Your mother, brother. Spread the gospel. Yeah. Your old classmates that you didn’t talk to. Yeah. that random man on the street walking towards you. Yes. Yeah. And if you’re having like a class reunion or something, that’s the playlist you’re going to bring with you. Yeah. Yes. Agreed. Yes. Absolutely. No, it’s it’s not about me. It’s about them. Mhm. Oh, it’s always about the boys. It’s never about us. Yeah. Exactly. We have more things more weapons in our arsenal. Weapons. The armory is full and we’re ready. Yeah. We’re very glad to live in an age where we can do this. Once again, 15year-old me would have never dreamed of this day. No. Same. What a time to be alive. Yes. Let’s not end too somber. Um, Sabi, where can people find you? Uh people can find me uh personally on X mostly at Sabimians. But if you want to find Dumpling Box, you will also find it on uh X with dumpling dumpling_box or dumpling.org. So that’s me and every other like social media like Reddit and everything. So yeah. Wonderful. So, everybody needs to What am I saying? People already probably have, but if you haven’t, I don’t know why you haven’t. Check out Dumpling Box, guys. And maybe think about contributing. Yeah, it’s for you, by you, and with you. So, let’s do this together cuz there’s nothing better in the world than a passionate fans gaining together to just share the love.
