この楽曲は、”この世は舞台であり、人は皆それぞれ役を演じている”というシェイクスピアの戯曲にあるセリフへの僕なりのアンサーを込めた楽曲です。Pennacky監督と何度も打ち合わせを重ね、演者を撮る演者、それを撮るカメラマン、のようなメタ的な構造も含め、それぞれがそれぞれの舞台の主役である、と感覚的に感じられる映像表現を目指しました。
我々YOASOBIはミュージシャンとして生きる”YOASOBI”を演じ、菅田さんには役者”菅田将暉”を、二階堂さんには役者”二階堂ふみ”を演じていただき、この楽曲の世界観をユニークにシニカルに表現できたと思います。
YOASOBIにとって初の本人出演の実写MV、沢山の人の力をお借りして、最高の仕上がりになったなと思っております。
ドラマをご覧になっている方にも、いつもYOASOBIを応援してくれている皆にも、MVを通してこの楽曲に込めた想いが届いてくれることを願っています。

主題歌が決まり驚き、初実写MVになると聞き驚き、自分が関わることになりとても驚いてます。曲が伝わることはもちろんですが、歌詞がまたとても素敵なので、その哲学の片鱗が、自分が映ることで何か具体的に伝われー！と思い、演じました。宜しくお願いします。

    Ayaseとikuraのツインボーカルが織りなす、覚悟のダンスナンバー。逆境の**"野晒しの舞台"でも"命を演じ続ける"**という強い決意が、ダークなサウンドに乗って熱く響き渡る。

    Ayaseさん 普通男女デュオならハモリパートに行くところあえて、Ikulaさんのオク下（1オクターブ下)の主旋律を歌ってわざと初のYOASOBI初歌唱の印象づけないように抑えてつつ1コーラス目の『美しい』ってとこだけオク下でYOASOBI初ハモリを控えめに披露し、大サビはオクターブ下げずにYOASOBIハモリ大披露！その後は全部ハモリ！これ相当計算されてますね！素晴らしい！

    結成から間もない頃のインタビューで「ayaseさんも歌うという構想は？」という質問に「今のところは考えていないが、今後武器になるかもしれない」と語っていた。
    これからYOASOBIが更なる進化を遂げる予感がする
