A star-studded field will tee it up for the first event of the PGA TOUR’s Opening Drive in 2025, with 31 prior PGA TOUR winners in action. 10 of the top 15 players in the world will be making their way to The Plantation Course at Kapalua, including World No. 2 Xander Schauffele, who had a 2024 to remember with two major wins at the PGA Championship and The Open. After winning at The Sentry in 2019, the 31-year-old has every reason to be confident at the first Signature Event of the season. Two-time winner of the event, Justin Thomas will be back in action this week. He has five top-5 finishes at The Plantation Course at Kapalua, with his last victory coming in 2020, where he topped Xander Schauffele in a dramatic playoff. Chris Kirk won his sixth PGA TOUR title at last year’s event and will be looking to become the first person to go back to back at The Sentry since Geoff Ogilvy in 2010. Other notable names to keep an eye on this week include Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Åberg, Hideki Matsuyama and Viktor Hovland.

Hawaii best golf start 2025 big score numbers European DP players having show😊
Why do highlights mostly show putting? Please show us some of the driving and more second shots. Putting is pointless because we can’t see the slope.

Bad editing on this video. Multiple times you show shots out of order in the lead group.
When guys are playing together, especially these beasts battling it out, show their approaches and putts in order to accentuate the match within a match.
The level of playing that is going on right now on the PGA Tour is historic! It’s so unimaginable compared to say 20 years ago

Just goes to show you how easy these resort courses are when there is no wind for these top players. Thats why the USGA trick up the US Open layouts so much. Imho…we need a radical overhall of the driver and wood tech…both the driver and fairway woods need scaling back radically. Make the driver only max 400cc volume with zero vor.

Slightly better presentation today but still too much short putting, just boring. Course is far too easy for top players , crazy massive under par scores are ridiculous and show there's not enough challenge to justify bigging this competition up!
