    I watched the first (never watch that again) and then the game that she broke in the third and it seems like as long as she made peace with not being the all-out aggressor, she could trust herself to just stay stable in the rallies. Which has to be so tough since that's not her game, but I respect her fight most. Not sure how she'll deal with Samsonova but we take what we can get.

    I don’t care if it took over 2 and a half hours to beat someone ranked in the 100s. A win is a win and I'm just happy Naomi won. Hope she can beat Samsonova again.

    Realmente el juego de Osaka cada día lo veo más quebrantado. Cuando quiere darle más velocidad la deja en la red o la saca de la cancha. Ya no es esa Osaka que a mí me gustaba ver competir así perdiera pero ahora no es la misma. 😢😢 Ojalá regrese su juego pronto.

    That was painful to watch live. In fact I had to stop it was hurting my brain. At least with the highlights they can edit out unforced errors

    Starodubtseva has improved over the last few months, but she shouldn't have given Osaka this much trouble, considering Naomi is a GS champion. Just goes to show how competitive the tour has become. Players can't afford to take time off the tour to have kids. Osaka herself said she was "distracted during the match thinking about her kid". The socialist WTA wants you to believe that the tour is very competitive and exciting to watch while simultaneously saying women can and should have kids then come back on the tour and there won't be any consequences. Those are two contradicting statements! 🙄
