boxing is back great finish and he’s different he a beast you know him even with him being knocked down you know fighters are able to get back up and finish strong and he showed that tonight you can’t be getting hit with those shots man after that performance I would say no i don’t think he’s pound i think that I think that Usyk is number one pound-for-pound anyways hey I see you guys man i got to head out he’ll be back in some big fights man in a way that guy’s he’s something special he’s he’s something aside from I’ve never been this close to him i’ve called his fights before but I called it in the bubble today I got to be ringside i got to be in the fighter meetings with him yesterday being at the weigh-in um he has an aura about him that’s something different he does
he’s a rock star he is a rockstar he comes to the ring uh he he it’s almost like he’s he’s levitating on the above the ground
and listen I’ve never seen a fighter get dropped rocked the way that he did in this fight and also like he did in Eric and then just dials in and doesn’t give up position stays in the pocket stays in the danger zone because he’s he wants to hurt you he wants to get it back so much he’s willing to put his face and chin on the line that’s what boxing is that’s what boxing is all about you know he said it before he’s like “American fighters they fight too scared they fight too defensive i’m a Japanese warrior i have a warrior spirit.” And he brings that with him each and every time in the ring and that’s why the crowd went nuts everything that happened yesterday and Friday that is is is forgettable is forgotten boxing is back this was a fantastic show top to bottom na in a way is a generational talent listen I knew Cardinus was dangerous um I’ve called his last three fights on Probox TV um I I I I saw something special in him on those cards and I talked to him personally before this fight was ever announced before this fight was even brought up and I said I’m like “Yo you’re right there man you are world class you’re going to be a world champion one day.” And uh and then two fights later here he is fighting Iowa anyway so I I knew that was possible i know he’s a good counter puncher i know that he’s got power on both hands joel Diaz believes in him tremendously um I’ve spoken to him about about that as well and uh when he went down I was like “Wow he’s really hurt.” That was not a flash knockdown i was hurt he was dropped hard um but just like he did against Neri he got up he got back on the jab he he tightened up his position his hand position got better his foot position got better um his balance got better and then once he found that hook once he realized it was coming it was just a matter of time he’s just breaking cars down um but I mean the place went absolutely bananas when he went down fans were awesome tonight uh this is a an awesome show and Nia Winway man that guy’s a performer he’s a showman performance what you think i mean is that that’s what we want we want to be entertained you was definitely entertained absolutely i thought it was a solid performance i’ll tell you one thing cuz you know my honesty you can’t be getting hit with those shots man that’s just plain and simple you can’t be getting hit with those shots and going down like that bro seriously especially against these caliber guys now this guy is a real guy he is top 10 guy he’s been IDed right he can fight he got punching power in both hands and the way he was able to get up I’m going to give him credit he got up he did the same thing he did to Ner he broke this guy down and he was able to get him up out of there however man look you want to go up to 126 and you want to try to dominate that division there’s some lions there too dudes that can take your stuff you remember he a small guy he a small guy moving up man it’s challenging for him the guy tonight was like he really didn’t hit that hard with the single punches it was more of the accumulative effect more of you know the combinations and the speed at which he punch you you know what I’m saying it it it’s it’s it’s frustrating it’s blazing fast is accurate it’s on point it’s tough to deal with however you saw hey there’s there’s moments where you can take advantage of anyway if you know them you have to know them you got to have film study you got to know and recognize them however fantastic job great finish and he’s different he a beast as long as he got blood like any heart and blood running through his veins and his heart is pumping i don’t I don’t I don’t care that’s his opinion i don’t really care what anyway after that performance i would say no i don’t think he’s pound i think that I think that Usyk is number one pound-for-pound and I think Crawford is at behind him and I think Inaway is number number three i don’t care how you guys have it you know you pick your poison but that’s my that’s what I predict that’s what I think so but you know at the end of the day um great performance fantastic show tonight my gosh uh Espinosa and Inway saved the weekend entertainment when you’re fighting for the money and not legacy every young fighter just follows that pattern and it’s not it’s not fair it’s not fair to it’s not fair to the organizers the people putting up the money the promoters you know the fans especially the fans want to see good fights let’s go it’s the fighter’s job to give the fight fans good fights oh man great fight great fight uh to be able to end off the whole weekend um you know we kind of needed a little something after the you know the the performances from those fighters from the uh past two days but I definitely feel like um in a way he continues to show why he’s one of the best in the world you know him even with him being knocked down you know fighters are able to get back up and finish strong and he showed that Oh man first and foremost the good was the adjustment that was made you know after that after that knockdown in the second round he was able to you know show that I’m not going to get caught with the same shot again because Cardinas he was throwing those haymakers like it was like probably like two centimeters away from connecting from time to time and uh I felt like in those moments you know it was showing like listen like I’m disciplined i’m a champion i’m well experienced i’m not going to fall for the same thing twice uh but you know listen in boxing sometimes it only takes one shot to put you up out of there and this is where I’m going to get into the bad parts to where sometimes he opens up a little too much maybe to why that’s where he was able to get caught you know with this fight with the Luis Ner fight even though Nito Donaire had his has his success in the first fight that they had you know so in a way he’s shown that and I’ve I’ve kind of been saying this in past interviews to where it’s certain things that I’m going to be able to expose when or if me and him ever fight so you know kind of playing the waiting game cuz he says he’s not really interested in moving up right now he has other things that’s kind of scheduled and in his plans right before he decides to move up so it’s just I’m focused on the featherweight champions right now knowing I mean to be honest you got to know your limits just like me like I I won’t be able to go up to like 160 and like that like you got to know your limits as a fighter so I do feel like even with him being dropped in uh this last fight and he’s definitely not going to be in a rush to come up to 126 cuz we’re punching even harder so um yeah I I I can see him probably being like you know what I could probably just coast my the rest of my career at 122 and you know he’s done enough in in his career to make that call yeah definitely you know he he’s he’s done enough so he’s definitely made a mark in the sport for sure um I definitely feel like he’s he’s pretty small i definitely feel like in a way is uh on a smaller side but he definitely packs a punch to be able to compete with a lot of the guys that featherweight division um but he’s definitely you know a small guy so uh he would definitely have a problem uh for any of the fighters especially the champions in the featherweight division forch wba WB for Fore
