Andy, congratulations. But first, two hours before your match, the fans were packing to watch you compete, watch you play. What impact did they have on you and your performance? Yeah. Um, I don’t know if you can hear me, but I’m really grateful. Um, they can hear you. Yeah. I I haven’t been here since I won my first slam, so um I feel like, you know, I’m seeing a lot of familiar faces and a lot of new faces. So, thank you guys for coming out and I I hope you had fun. Yeah, Putin’s save was a tough out. You knew in the second set she was going to make a run. What adjustment did you see she made to make a better performance in the second? Um, I mean, I’ve played her a couple times. She’s always really tough and I know that, you know, it’s just going to be a fight every time. So, for me, whenever I play her, I just try to be very calm. What about playing on the hard courts in the United States? done so well on the surface in the past. How is your approach for this season? You know, um, honestly, I’m trying to be a little bit more uh not like I’m I don’t know how to explain it. There’s a word in English, it’s the opposite of humble. Um, but yeah, confidence. Yeah, confident in myself because I know, you know, I’ve won a couple grand slams on hard. So, I’m just trying to tell myself that I, you know, I know how to win on the surface. What’s it like being back in DC in this crowd in this tournament? Yeah, I mean, um, yeah. Um, DC is a really cool city. I’ve come here a couple times.
