Great resistance there from Naomi on that. Brought to a standstill by that attack. Talson could do nothing about Ozarka finishing off and battering ram used with that forehand again. The two of them teeing off with some mighty forehands. [Applause] No hesitation there. That’s the right way to recover. Time to celebrate for Naomi Osaka. Into a really big final once again. Something she’s dreamt of and worked hard to achieve. And finally here in Montreal, the first Japanese player in the open era to make the final of this event. And she just managed to thwart Talsson in a very tight second set tie break. But she will take on Victoria Amboko for the title tomorrow after winning this one 62 76.

Naomi’s movement is so good!! The two break points saved at 4-2 in the second set have convinced me that, safe from a freak dip in form, this tournament is hers to win. So happy to see her in her element again

Several months ago, Naomi mentioned that she didn't feel like she was "in her body yet" (or words to that effect). From her movement it looks like she and her body are in much better co-ordination. I'm excited to see more!

It just so nice to see Osaka playing so consistently, which hasn’t been like this for the last 2 years. I guess the new coach might just told her not going crazily killer shots everytime, but just play with a margin which is exactly Osaka has been doing for this tournament. The UE is dramatically reduced. Her ‘normal’ shots are enough for the opponents to handle!😂
At last I can cheer again for one of my favorite player – ASIAN…player.

Why big matches only have four the same umpires. Its some kind of odd that always the same ones hold the most important matches. Its always Cicak, Zhang, Bley and Kjendlie. Only these four on big matches . Looks like mafia to me
It’s crazy how people think she’s winning now that she’s no longer with Patrick.
Osaka is playing better because of Patrick and you can see the effects from his coaching: more shape with topspin on her forehand and better point construction. It takes time for a change in your game to take effect especially in a stressful format like a match.

As a Osaka supporter, I would like to congratulate Clara Tauson due to her stable evolution. The professional Danish tennis player has literally made the substantial progresses and breakthroughts throughout the whole event along with a tough draw. It indicates that Tauson will be more consistent in the following tourneys.
Osaka definitely competes far more relentless and tenacious than the first portion of the season. The new coach Tomasz Wiltorowski will enable Naomi Osaka to expand her cohesion and alignment on the court in order to play more unfaltering and valorous at each stage. Currently, Naomi is at a superior level with her performance and mobility.
