And I think this episode perfectly showed the two points I mentioned before. First: communication in relationships. Yes, I’ve said this a million times. But today both pairs—the two couples— showed us a clear contrast between communication and poor communication. One side talked things through and smoothed things over. The other side… who knows how long they’ll brood. Second point: Insecurity in a relationship damages it. It’s not only painful and uncomfortable for yourself— it also makes your partner uncomfortable. Take Shin today— sure, his love-brain is a bit much, but his insecurity about Minato is real. And the way he first expressed that insecurity definitely troubled Minato. Minato hadn’t done anything wrong, and he even went out of his way to bring Shin his phone. Luckily, once Shin learned the truth from Asuka, he had a proper talk with Minato. Alright, let’s stop here for today. The story’s only getting more interesting.
