[Music] Well, how was it? How were the uh the trials, the tests that you said you were doing yesterday? How did they go today? Yuki, that’s good. Yeah. Um a good feeling. I mean short run there’s some obviously room to put it all together but you know something that I tried and it’s good that something we experiencing uh yeah in FP2 everything and but mainly what we’re focused was a long run and that seems a lot much better I mean never seen that kind of things so far in this year in the long run so so far it’s working which is good it’s still a buzz it makes sense now it makes sense now it makes sense well okay That’s good with so far with the long run. Yeah, that’s great to hear. Yeah. And is it still a buzz when you get out there these top speeds or does it already slow it down? You’re already on the straight thinking I could do with a bit more power. Is it still a buzz these high speeds around here? I mean, it’s always uh here it’s always need a good confidence with the braking and everything. Um yeah, I just uh obviously shot focusing need to bit have to focus more bit more short run but uh it’s getting there lap by lap and uh just build up uh throughout the week. So and it’s in a good direction. I think one thing uh like I said main thing that uh was positive was long run. Um so yeah uh keep it positive and uh just how I can see how I can do it tomorrow. Max, how did you find it out there today? What was it like in the car? Yeah, it wasn’t too bad to be honest. Um, building up to it, but I think again um what was positive for us that uh the car felt quite quite good. So, it definitely seems like we found a stable balance, you know, and that that is what we need. This track is of course very particular in its layout. Um, and it’s just yeah, everything needs to just come together uh to try and produce, I guess, a good lap. I think we’re still finding that a little bit over one lap to try and really yeah get more confidence in probably myself the the car. Yeah, just fine tuning a few little bits and then hopefully tomorrow that will be better. And uh then yeah, the long run uh felt okay. I mean it’s always going to be slippery around here, tough on on the tires with these softer compounds, but it seemed not not too bad. And looking ahead to the rest of the weekend, where do you feel that you’re kind of stacking up amongst the competitors? I know you haven’t had a chance obviously obviously to dig into the data but just from initial feeling I mean it seems like Ferrari is really on it but they’re always very fast around here it’s like a very particular track like I said um yeah I hope that uh well honestly let’s see I don’t even know how fast of course McLaren is going to be um I I do expect a few teams to be quite uh quite close and then it it all comes down to yeah just driving a perfect lap or just getting your tires in because that is also very difficult around here always. Um, and then honestly also with such a a long straight if you get lucky with a little bit of a toe, you gain two tens easily. So that can also make quite a big uh big difference. Alex, P5 and P9 today. Uh, how was it out there? P8 P9. Was it P9? Yeah, it’s fine. It’s fine. It was good. Uh, um, where do I start? Um, today was a lot about tire learning for us. I think we we we’ve really put it on top of our program for for this weekend. Uh, in a better position. I think we we’re actually getting the tires to work on lap one, which we haven’t been able to do for the for a long time. Um, it does come with some downsides and we’re just kind of trying to find a middle way in terms of what what’s optimal for the car and what’s optimal just to get it for lap one, let’s say. Uh yeah. Um it’s gonna be interesting qualifying. Obviously, everyone’s using the getting rid of the soft tires and uh we used the hard tire, which no one else did in FP2, so we might be a little bit on the back foot come Sunday, but uh let’s just hope for no safety cars, which is not that common in Baku. And let’s see. There’s also the risk of rain in qualifying tomorrow and windy conditions for the rest of the weekend. How do you think that could affect you and the team? Um, I think we’re in a good flow right now. I I would like it to stay dry. I I do think we’re the fifth quickest team so far this weekend and we’re we’re quite comfortable. Um, I’m happy with the car. I’m happy with the balance. If there’s a rain that comes in, maybe puts us a little bit in the more unknown side. At the same time, it might make us even quicker. Let’s let’s uh let’s see. But for the most part, um, I think we’ve been in a good rhythm from from FP1 and and I kind of just wanted to stay the same. Fore! Foreign! Foreign! [Music] [Music]
