Hi 🙂 Everyone, thank you IMP. Let me share with you 3 of my favorite Bible verses: God is not a God of confusion but of peace, 1 Corinthians 14:33. I will instruct you. I will teach you the way that you should go. I will advise you as my eyes watch over you, Psalms 32:8. You will hear a voice behind you saying, 'This is the way. Follow it, whether it turns to the right or to the left.' Isaiah 30:21.
Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the person who does what my Father in heaven wants." Matthew 7:21. And God wants us to listen to Jesus, Matthew 17:5.
Jesus told that story about the 2 brothers for a purpose: One told his father he would go to work, but he DIDN'T. Matthew 21:28-32. Many people said that they would follow Jesus, but they are not following him. When Jesus said, "From now on don't sin." John 8:11. They are following people who said, "Your future sins are forgiven."
Now will Jesus say of you, "I know who you are, you follow me and I give you eternal life" John 10:27,28, or will he say, "I’ve never known you. Get away from me, you evil people!"? Matthew 7:23. It is not too late to decide to follow Jesus NOW.
Jesus said, "A person cannot live by bread alone but needs every word that God speaks, Matthew 4:4. If you live by what I say, you are truly my disciples, John 8:31. Always do for other people everything you want them to do for you, Matthew 7:12.
Jesus said, "From now on don't sin, John 8:11. If your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hellfire, Matthew 18:9. I can guarantee this truth: Whoever lives a sinful life is a slave to sin. A slave doesn't live in the home forever, but a son does." John 8:34,35.
Paul said, "Whoever is a believer in Jesus is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence, 2 Corinthians 5:17. It is no longer I who live, but Jesus lives in me, Galatians 2:20. I have become the temple of God and God's Spirit lives in me, 1 Corinthians 3:16.
"Jesus gave himself for me, to rescue me from all wickedness and to make me a pure person who belongs to him alone and is eager to do good." Titus 2:14.
Paul also said, "If God's Spirit lives in you, you are under the control of your spiritual nature, not your corrupt nature. Whoever doesn't have the Spirit of Jesus doesn't belong to him. Certainly, all who are guided by God's Spirit are God's children." Rom 8:9,14.
Jesus also said, "You must always be ready, because I will come at an hour when you are not expecting me." Matthew 24:44. And Peter told us how to wait and be ready for Jesus' coming, "The day of the Lord will come like a thief. And so, as you wait for that day, do your best to be pure and blameless in God's sight and to be at peace with him." 2 Peter 3:10,14.
Jesus wants his followers to have treasure in heaven, he said, "If you want to be perfect, sell what you own. Give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then follow me!" Matthew 19:21.
Do you know the Good News of how you can go to heaven? Believe now and say, "I have decided to follow Jesus, because he is the ONLY way to heaven, John 14:6. I turn away from all my sins, because Jesus said, 'From now on don't sin, John 8:11, a sinner REPENTS and becomes SAVED.' Luke 15:10. So be it in Jesus' name, Hallelujah!"
