　講談社「good!アフタヌーン」にて2014年4月から連載中の原作：井上堅二、漫画：吉岡公威（きみたけ）のコンビによる漫画「ぐらんぶる」は、
ダイビングサークルを舞台にした漫画ながら、なぜかほぼダイビングをしないという型破りな青春コミック。既刊14巻で440万部を突破しており、2018年7月から9月にかけてアニメ化され高視聴率を記録した同作が実写映画化。

　主に衣装の面で絶対に映像化不可能と言われている本作の監督を務めるのは英勉。『ハンサム★スーツ』や『ヒロイン失格』『映画　賭けグルイ』などを手掛けたキングオブコメディが、スクリーンの限界に挑む。映画『ぐらんぶる』は5月29日に全国公開が決定。竜星涼（りゅうせいりょう）と犬飼貴丈（いぬかいあつひろ）のW主演が発表に！

    Manga > Anime >>> Live action… I can already see where this is going to end…
    Why do they always want to make live action movies for good manga/anime…
    Anyway guys if you are going to watch this, I recommend you to bring some Spirytus or some home made oolong tea, it'll improve the experience a lot lol
