One of my top 3 novels of all time, Shogun, Dune, The Grapes of Wrath. But I can see, for the so called "modern audiance", Mariko alone will slay all samurai.

The book was great. The first Shogun series was great as well. I hope this version does justice to the legacy.

Speaking as someone who has read the novel over a dozen times in the last 20 years, my bar for what Iexpect from a Shogun adaptation is high.
Do not disappoint me.
10 parts seems too little to capture the epic 1500 page novel.
