I’ve arrived at the station! Before I head on the subway I’m going to step outside. Around the area… The exit was nearby and I wanted to walk around so I’m out here! There’s a river right in front! It’s super… I think a canal goes through the roads so I heard it’s really nice to tour on a boat. I’ve walked for a little bit. I’m at the other side of Amsterdam Central Station. The Station is super pretty! Let me show you around again! I’m at the hotel! I’ve opened my suitcase. It’s a bit messy because I didn’t film right when I got in. But this is where I’ll be staying tonight! Wow, it’s so nice. I wonder if you can see the garden. I wonder if I can open the window. I’m not sure, so I’m going to stop trying. I’ve wrapped a scarf around my head and now I look like this! Now! I looked up some places for dinner and there was a place that seemed to have nice steak, so I’m going to try that steakhouse! I’m outside! I was too shy to keep my scarf around my head, so I switched to this look. I think this area is a shopping street. The steakhouse I’m headed to is in the other direction but I got a little curious about this street, so I’m taking a walk. Oh! Look here! A tram just went by. Wow! I’m going to go to a steakhouse near the hotel. Is this it? I’m having carpaccio. And! Is the meat ham? It’s so good. That’s why I started filming. It’s super smooth, and the sauce is really good too! My steak is here! It’s 200 grams. Are these potatoes? The stuff on top isn’t cheese. It’s truffle! Whenever I see “truffle” on the menu, I feel compelled to order it. I’m going to eat now! I checked out and left! That was a great meal! It’s this store here! The waiter was very nice and friendly. Here I said “dank u wel,” or “thank you” and apparently “tasty” is “lekker”! I said that to the waiter this time so I’m pretty proud! I memorized the Dutch terms! Thank you is “dank u wel” and tasty is “lekker”! It’s super cold so I’m in total survival mode. It’s warm now! My ears were so cold that I couldn’t help but do this. Oh, it’s a tram! Hello! Amsterdam, Netherlands. Day two, should I say? [Taking things slow today / DAY 4]
I can take things slow today! This is nothing big [Taking things slow today and getting a new SIM card… / DAY 4]
but my SIM card is almost out of data so I might not be able to use my phone outside. So I have to go to a supermarket here in the Netherlands buy a SIM card, and get more data! I’m going to look for a supermarket and go from there! First, I’ll go eat breakfast! I can see Amsterdam Central Station! For your information, public transportation in the Netherlands includes buses trams or the subway, and you can get on with the app or tickets but also cards so I think it’s super convenient for tourists! I was able to buy a SIM card! If I think about the many supermarkets I went to I think I went to about five or six. I tried to make conversation a lot as well. Thank goodness I was able to get one! For reference, I was able to find one pretty easily at this place called Service Point at Amsterdam Central Station. When you get SIM cards in Amsterdam, definitely go to the Central Station! They have them here at Service Point! Get them here! I can already see a windmill! The wind definitely is super strong. It’s cold! There are windmills far away as well. Wow… There are ducks! So cute! Very cute! I want to show HIROMU this. They look so chill! I do want to touch them… I think this is a nice filming spot! I wonder if the camera can capture all of this. It’s turning very well! It’s super cold so I’m going to drink some hot chocolate here and take a break. Ta-da! I knew it would be cold so I brought this hat from Japan! Good thing I finally get to use it! It’s so cold! This is an art museum! It’s the Rijksmuseum! So cold! I’m going to continue my walk for just a bit more and go eat. This may be my last dinner at Amsterdam! I’ll be back! Oh, also I lost my gloves! I wonder where my leather gloves went? I have no idea. My hands are freezing because I can’t find them. Where are they? Where’d I put them? Ta-da! I saw somewhere that the Dutch like beer and since this is my last dinner here, I’m going to drink beer to wrap up my trip. Thank you for this! This is my last dinner in Amsterdam. This looks so good. The salad looks good too. Bon appetit! [Heading back / DAY 5] I’m going to go check out now. My flight is tonight so this is my last day in Amsterdam. This was great! I’m going to head to the art museum now. I plan to check into my flight at about five in the afternoon or get to the airport then, so before that I’m going to roam around. Thank you for the great time here! This is the Van Gogh Museum! And right across it is the Rijksmuseum. And next to that is a pretty park. [Thank you for watching.
