【新疆ウイグル自治区】統制下で暮らすウイグル族密集地の街、隠されたカシュガルの真実。
Kashiwa City has a population of about 700,000 people and is located about 1,050 km south of Uyghur, and the city center is about 1,300 m above sea level. It is a mining town. It is considered a special city even within the country, so much so that it is said that if you go there just to visit Uyghur, you will not have seen Uyghur. In recent years, the Chinese government has been attracting worldwide attention with various regulations, and there have been many concerns and reports in the international community regarding its treatment of the Uyghur people. This time , we will stay in Kashiwa, which is said to be the birthplace of Uyghur culture, and deliver the current state of Kashiwa that we saw and experienced with our own eyes on the ground. So please watch until the end. Good morning. This is a continuation of the previous video. I am currently in the city of Uyghur in the Xinjiang district of China. It’s only 4:33 in the morning so it’s really early, but I’m leaving Urumqi now and heading to Kashgar, a city also in the new Uyghur region. It takes about two hours by plane from Urumqi to Kashgar. Surprisingly, a lot of people don’t know this, but Uyghur is incredibly large, so I’m currently in the most populous region, but it’s quite far from there to Kashgar, and the city of Kashga is more famous for being a city where Uyghur culture is still very much present, so I’m going there this time. As I mentioned in the previous video, this area is a bit special, and the singer I’m going to is And beyond that, there are a few things which I will explain later, but you can go there normally, but beyond that there are a few restricted areas and I am planning to get permission to go there this time, so I will explain more about it later. Yes, I’m sorry, it’s so early in the morning so my head is not working yet, but I will be checking out of the hotel and heading to the airport. So, I have checked out of the hotel and would like to take a taxi to the airport. So, I have arrived at Ulm International Airport. This airport is incredibly beautiful. I think it was the 17th of April . It only just opened on the 18th, so it hasn’t even been a month yet, so it’s a pretty brand new and shiny airport. I’m heading to Kashiwa-Kare on a domestic flight with a national airline called Sun East Airlines. For now, I’m going inside the terminal. It ‘s incredibly clean and shiny. I’ve just gone through security to get into the airport, which is incredibly strict, and they use the latest equipment. It’s completely different from the usual X-rays, it was the latest. What’s the latest ? If you have a lighter in your pocket, things like that will be displayed on the screen , and they’ll also take a photo of your face using facial recognition. This is something we’ve seen before, isn’t it the security check before boarding a plane? Entering the airport It’s so tough just for that, the floors are sparkling clean, and I was just talking about how I’m probably the first Japanese YouTuber to post a video using this terminal, but it opened on the 17th of April, so it hasn’t even been a month yet, and this is the check-in area for domestic Air China New Airlines, Saint-Joseph Airlines. It’s already sparkling clean, amazing , so I’ll be checking in now. This time I’m in business class, so I’ve completed my check-in with 3t Airlines, and it looks like I’ll be able to go to the lounge after this, so I’m going to have breakfast there. It’s still just before 5am, and as I said earlier, the flight is two hours. I think we’ll arrive in no time , but for now I’m a little surprised at how spacious the airport is and how new the facilities are. My eyes are shining. First I have to go through security. This is the entrance to the domestic security checkpoint and it reminded me of the security checkpoint at a huge airport in the Middle East or at Abu Dhabi airport. It has Arabic writing on it, which is amazing. This is it. Apparently this is the first class lounge, and I can go in, so I go in. It’s an incredibly clean, sparkling lounge. It’s shining. They have quite a lot of food as well, like eggs, corn sausages, and other snacks, etc. Well, after this there will be some cabin coloring, but I wonder if it’s delicious, it’s a little spicy, wow, amazing, there is a lot, delicious, it’s amazing, even though it is a domestic lounge, there is a sleeping room, and it says that the bed is for sleeping on paper, and it doesn’t open , it’s amazing, so now I will leave the lounge and head to the gate , this is Ulm airport’s domestic area, there is a smoking room, and I heard that new airports in China basically don’t have smoking areas, but this month is April, so it’s only been a month, but they opened one, yes, domestic A’s 202 or 220, it’s right in front of here , I don’t know how useful this information is, But it was a shiny new airport, so I thought it was pretty unusual. I went inside for a bit. Oh, it’s outside. Amazing. This is nice in its own way. Yes, inside, it ‘s amazing. There are seats and you can see the view. It looks like an airport in Istanbul. I think Ulm Airport is probably the most advanced airport in China . Everything about it is like something I’ve never seen before. Even this ashtray is so huge. And all the seats for smokers have USB ports so you can charge them. Amazing. Anyway, they’ve already started to roll in, so I’ll get on board. It’s been a long time since I’ve flown with Canto Airlines. I’ve only flown once before . So I went inside the plane. It’s a T Airlines 737 Dashi 800. All the pass-slipper blankets are there. It looks like this. I just got a towel. By the way, this is the first business class flight on this Kashiwa line. 3t 20,000 yen is quite cheap on that route, so if that’s the case, I think everyone should definitely take business class. For the welcome drink, I had mineral water. They even put in ice and the service was great. As I’ve said many times before, Ulm International Airport has only been open for less than a month, so it’s extremely clean and the facilities are sparkling clean. And it’s amazing that so many people are already using it and so many planes are coming in. Kashiwa Airport is a regional airport and should be quite small. From here, it’s about 20,000 yen . It was about an hour and the altitude was getting higher so I would like to explain that again later. The in-flight service began. These are nuts, and I was given carbonated water and iced Americano. Then the in-flight color came. This time there was a Chinese and Western breakfast menu, so I chose the Western and an omelette. It was nice to have so much on a two-hour flight. I think they brought bread and other things, and the drink was carbonated water and fruit. This was the Chinese side, and the Chinese side had hot water and meat, which I thought was pretty good too. It looked delicious. The porridge was also amazing and I thought it was delicious. I’ve said this many times before, but this is the level for a domestic flight, and Chinese domestic flights are amazing. Also the color of the liquid in this bottle is Halal food, so it seems to be suitable for Muslim people. There is ham in it, but it looks like beef. I finished my meal and then We landed in about 40 minutes, and normally before landing you ‘re told to pull up the ramp, but this time they told us to close them all, and from here we enter a heavily guarded military area, so we’re not allowed to take any photos outside, and we ‘re not allowed to look at anything other than filming, so we were told to close the ramp again, and they’re doing it very strictly. And it was 8:41, and we landed at Kashgar International Airport. We were told we weren’t allowed to look outside, so we couldn’t see anything, and we couldn’t even take a picture of the landing. So this is my first time at Kashgar International Airport, and I haven’t seen the view outside yet. I can see the outside, but it’s a pretty small airport, isn’t it? So Suga has arrived, and we’ve just gone outside the airport. From here we can take photos, and it’s much more beautiful than I expected, and it’s a very well-maintained airport. It’s very impressive, and my camera is a little bit off right now, so it’s a bit blurry, but I’ll keep going for a bit. Yes, this time, the new Uyghur self-built I’m staying in a place called Kashgar for one night from now on, which will be in the next video, but we’ll be going to a different place again. The person who was with me this time said that if you come to Xinjiang in China and don’t come to Kashgar, it’s said that you haven’t really been to Xinjiang. This is such an important place. Most people apparently just go to Xinjiang and then go back, but the most important place is actually Kashgar, so I came here this time. My companion has gone to rent a car, so I’m waiting here for a bit. This area is a bit tough without a car, so today I’m staying in the city of Kashgar for one night, and within Kashgar there is a bazaar and a mosque, so I’ll summarize them all in one video and show you all as is. Right now I’m waiting in that pretty stylish cafe-like place, it’s amazing, isn’t it? I thought it might be a more rural place, but compared to that place it is much more rural, but it has a very decent feel. I’m planning to talk about this later, but the reason I rented a car this time is that I’m planning to go to the border area with Pakistan tomorrow, and that area has a lot of beautiful scenery and places of interest. However, since our country is located hundreds of kilometers away , it’s quite difficult to get there. In China, it is quite difficult for foreigners to rent a rental car, and you have to apply at the police station or some other administrative office, so I can’t drive this time either. I have an international driver’s license, but my companion can drive, so if we go together, the altitude is around 4000m or so, so we have already taken medicine to prevent mining sickness, and we also went to buy oxygen today. This time I will post a video of my stay in Kashiwa, and I will talk about that a little next time, but that ‘s about it. Similarly, Uighur culture is strong here, so it’s an Islamic area in an Islamic prefecture, and to be honest, this is the first time for both me and my companion to be here, so the differences are small. I came here without knowing what it would be like, and beforehand I heard that the Chinese government’s regulations in general are quite strict, but that wasn’t the case in China, and it’s probably more dangerous here, so there are restricted areas and the permits required for foreigners to pass through, so after I leave from the airport later today, I will first go to the police station and get a permit there. I thought I could get it online, but if I can’t, then when I arrive at the location I will go to a local censorship center, or something like that. I’m a little nervous right now, and the reason is that in a place like this, it’s okay to film here, but there’s a possibility that the data will be censored and all deleted. I think it’s probably okay if I can deliver this video to you all, but if I can’t, that means all my data will be deleted, and so I won’t be able to show you anything, I can’t prove it. What I said was, only photos. It might be a good idea to take things as carefully as possible, but I’m thinking about not taking things that shouldn’t be taken, but other than that , I would like to show you the current state of the cash light and other things like that. For now, I’m waiting for the rental car.For now, I’m taking a rest at this cafe because I forgot my cigarettes. This is the only cafe in the arrival area. There was no Starbucks or anything like that.Once I leave, when you go into an airport in China , you have to go through security again, but this place is quite strict, so it looks strict.Yes, I was able to rent a car, so I will be traveling in it.It’s a Chinese-made car called a Tank. The airport is like this.I thought there would be a lot of police officers there, but they were only around the entrance and it was very relaxed. The car I rented for the two days this time is this, a Chinese-made car called a Tank, you often see them in Thailand too , it’s like a jeep, it’s a 4WD.By the way, the rental car fee was 300 yen. It’s 20,000 yen with unlimited insurance for 30 days, which is pretty cheap. So let’s get going. First, we’ll leave our luggage at the hotel and check in, then go to get the permit , and I think it will be around noon by then. This road as we leave the airport is very beautiful. It has a bit of a rural feel to it, but it has a very unique feel which is interesting. You can also use the dentist app DD. We’ve entered the city a little while ago, and as expected, there are police cars around here, but it doesn’t feel very tense. It’s quite a life-risking job to take them, though. There are lots of surveillance cameras, and this Tank car is made in China , but it looks a bit like a Mercedes around here, like we were talking about, and it’s nice and comfortable to ride. I don’t think most Japanese people have ever ridden in one, but it does have a modern feel to it . It’s also linked to Google, etc. But yes, it was like this, so I went to the hotel. It’s the Radisson Hotel, which is said to be the largest hotel in Kashgar. It costs about 5,000 yen a night. For now, I’m going to check in and just drop off my luggage. There’s a lot of sand, like high chains. Cars and other things are really dirty, so I think it’s best to take a mask. Everyone is wearing a mask, so the atmosphere is very Middle Eastern. The sky really is Middle Eastern. It’s an area that’s almost close to Pakistan and Kirill, so I went inside. There is airport-like security when you enter, but it’s the same over there in India. It’s really impressive. There’s a Licca-chan doll. I’m wearing Uighur traditional clothing. So check-in is complete. My room is on the 17th floor. For now, I’ll just go and put my luggage away. After that, I’ll go to the police station. The hotel information is all in Arabic, well, some of it is in Chinese. But it’s quite different. It’s completely different from Urumqi, which was a bit unexpected. It’s the best hotel in town, so 5000 yen is still amazing, isn’t it? So I went into the room. It’s better than the hotels on sale. The room is really clean and spacious. It’s really cheap, isn’t it? There’s water and you can smoke. There’s a huge desk in the room and a TV (Philips), and there’s loads of water here too, which is amazing. The bed is really spacious and there ‘s something there too, I wonder what it is, honey. There’s also a sink, and there are plenty of amenities, and the toilet is properly separated. It’s in a different room, and it’s separate, and there’s even a bathtub. It’s amazing. It’s quite impressive and beautiful in a place like this. Anyway, as I said earlier, I’m going to the police station to issue the passport, but it seems you can’t get it unless you bring your passport in person, so that can be done from 10:30. So I’m off now. I was able to check into the hotel at such an early hour and even get to my room. The hotel staff were extremely kind. Surprisingly, there are a lot of Japanese cars. I think there are more than Toyotas. By the way, I think I said this earlier, but we are already taking medicine for mining disease. It’s written on the car so it might be a little hard to see, but at this stage, at this town, it’s about 1300m to the 1280m marker. Tomorrow we’re going to a place where there are already 4000m mountains, but I don’t think we’ll be able to reach 1280m here. I thought so , but it might turn out that we haven’t taken the medicine. So, I’m going to get permission now. This is the police station too. It seems it wasn’t here so we’re going to a different place. It’s quite complicated. It would be impossible to do this alone. I’ll go and get it here now. First, it’s a place like the Kashiwa City Immigration Office. It seems that foreigners cannot pass through without getting a pass, so I’ll apply for it now. Here , I will explain the areas and overview of the Uyghur self-governing areas that we will be visiting this time, where we need a pass and the details . In the Uyghur self-governing area, like other Chinese towns, there are two types of areas: areas that are free to enter and restricted areas that are not. These restricted areas are called change control areas. The location of the border control area of the Uyghur temple area is like this. This time, we are planning to visit the Hakusan Hakuko area and the border area in an area called Tashkurgan, which is further inside Kashiwa , so since it falls under this border control area, we need to get a pass, which is proof of permission to enter, at the Koan Police Station in Kashiwa. By the way, this pass is not only necessary for foreigners , but also for military personnel and Chinese people other than the police . You go to a designated Koan Police Station in the city, undergo an examination by a police officer, and have it issued in person. There is no charge, but you must have a passport. Here is the actual thing, and inside it is written your personal information, the issue value, and the date. If you are in good health, you will need a passport. It is said to be valid for months. You must carry this card with you when you enter this controlled area, and I was warned that if you are stopped at regular checkpoints or questioned by police officers, things will get very complicated if you do not have this pass. This time, my classmate spoke Chinese, so she assisted me and issued my pass on the spot without any questions. Personally, I think the process of issuing this pass is quite difficult. The location is rural, and most of the police officers do not speak English, so I think it would be difficult for a foreigner traveling alone to get a pass. By the way, even if you apply for a local tour, you must come here and have the pass issued in person, and you cannot just leave it to an agency. As an additional note, I asked my companion why this management is so regulated, and asked the police officer, who answered that this area has important military facilities for the Chinese military. I was told that regulations are strict and that if you take photos of fighter jets or military facilities flying overhead, you are likely to be arrested, so to be careful. I can’t say for sure, but it is a common understanding among Chinese people that it is because this area is home to several strategic nuclear missile bases, intercontinental ballistic missile launch facilities, and special air force bases for the Chinese military. I don’t know why, but they sell things like Russian chocolates. It’s quite far from Russia, but it’s a rapidly growing country, isn’t it? Maybe it’s because Pakistan and other Central Asian countries are influenced by the Soviet Union. This is Russian, isn’t it? They sell Russian chocolate and other things. It seems that oxygen is necessary when you go higher in the mountains, so they have it in places like this. It’s 16 yuan per bottle, it’s amazing, people are starting to line up. There are a lot of Westerners, British people and others who have come to get a pass to enter the area. I’m the only Japanese there, and there was a Weigel person there. There was a person who spoke Japanese and started talking to me. It’s amazing, this is what it’s like. Surprisingly, tourism is booming. Yes, it’s taking a while because there is only one staff member, but the Westerners are pissed off. But we are lining up according to the order, so I was a little annoyed watching it too. They were like, “We should go first,” these people were Dutch. It was a little flat. Now, Mr. Ito and I were telling the staff that we were lining up according to the order, so I think there are some things like this, and they are looking down on us. I’d like to talk a little about the trouble that occurred at this time. My companion and I were lining up at the counter to get a pass. However, it was a Sunday and there was only one staff member at the police station, so when there were multiple applicants, it took a while to get the permits issued, but we and the people around us were lining up properly and following the order. After a while, about 20 Western tourists started lining up behind us, and they seemed to be irritated that it was taking so long to get their travel permits issued, and their attitudes gradually became worse. Both my classmates and I could sense that these people were probably thinking that Chinese people don’t understand English, and were using foul language at the police officers and the people in line, and suddenly, one of them grabbed the arm of a Chinese woman who was waiting behind us and said something to the Westerner. It was a Dutch lady who suddenly grabbed my arm and tried to cut in line. The Chinese woman cried out for help and my companion quickly stepped in and helped her. The Chinese woman was crying as she said she was scared, and my companion immediately reported the situation to the police. It had been a long time since I had seen such an attitude of Westerners towards Asian police officers , and I realized at the time that it is still so blatant today. It’s hard to say, but I think this kind of thing has always been happening, but I think people are even more aggressive towards Chinese people. In fact, it was the Chinese woman who was waiting in line properly, so we were really angry. I felt uncomfortable when they stood up, and after that I got permission and left normally, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. It felt like it had been a long time since I had seen a scene of discrimination against Asians. Ito-san can speak English and Chinese so I understood everything they were saying. These Dutch people were telling the Chinese and other Asians, including me, to put us first and let them do it. One lady tried to pull the Chinese woman who was standing in line by the arm and push her away, and that’s why the fight started. So if you think about it normally, the Dutch people were really bad, with their attitude, It took about an hour, but now I have successfully received permission to pass through the restricted area for foreigners. I couldn’t do anything because Mr. Ito wasn’t there. It was amazing, but I finally got it. Now I can move forward. For now, I have my pass, so after this I’m going to go to the town to buy some oxygen and do some other preparations, and after that I’m thinking of going to the mosque and the bazaar and then having something to eat. I’m only staying here for one day today, so I’ll be running a few errands in the morning. For now, I’m going to go for lunch at Burger King. I had some trouble so I’m going to have a hamburger for lunch today, and I might eat Uighur food tonight, but for now I’ve finished all my errands, so I haven’t bought any oxygen yet. I think I’ll go and buy some later, but that’s how I’m going. Yes, I went to a shopping mall called Wonder Plaza in Kashgar, which is very advanced. I just came to a Burger King, but it’s the same no matter where you go. It’s developed so it doesn’t feel like you’re in the middle of Uyghur. There is a Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Burger King , so I’m going there now. Burger King was on the way, so I’ll give up and go to Kentucky Fried Chicken. It was a little crowded so we decided to take it back to the hotel to eat. We went back to the hotel and got some takeaway and are now going to eat a bit of KFC. We’ve been on the move since about 3am this morning and have been shooting and moving around continuously for the past few days, so we were talking about how we were a bit tired, so we decided to eat lunch in our room, take a break for a while, and then get active in the evening. It’s tiring to be on the move all the time, so we both felt the same way. But when you’re traveling, you do get tired, so we’re only staying one night. Originally, I was staying here to get permission and make various preparations, and of course there is the mosque and the bazaar, so from this evening it is hot during the day so I will be doing some activities. So I will have a quick lunch of KFC and then take a break. It is now 5pm, so after a short break I feel energized and now I would like to go out into the town again. There is only a little time left, but I would like to take a good look around the town of Kashiwa. So let’s go. Now that I have had a nice rest, I will go buy some oxygen for tomorrow. Oxygen cylinders, after that I will look around at various things. This is a store that says Medical Equipment. I’m going to buy some oxygen tanks here. I’m going there tomorrow. I’m going to buy some because it’s recommended for those who are at high risk of getting mining sickness in high altitude areas. It’s really dusty. It’s a bit tough if you don’t wear a mask. There’s a lot of sand in the air. For now, I’ve been given 888 bottles of Sanso. I’ll put these in the car and use them in case I get mining sickness. Tomorrow will be in the next video, but I’m preparing for that. Now, I’m going to the most famous mosque in Kathu. It’s pretty crowded. It’s 6 o’clock now. It’s really bright even in the evening. This area is lively. There are a lot of people, so it’s quite dangerous . The driving is quite amazing. It’s chaotic. Now, I’m in front of the mosque. This is the mosque. Up ahead, there’s the bazaar and other things, so I’d like to take a look at them all at once. There are a lot of people . This is the overall view. This is the mosque. It’s over there now. This area is all old Shijiai Street, and it’s like a commercial facility. The Uighur culture is 1 The most crowded place is, well, today is Sunday so there are a lot of people here. It has a really Middle Eastern feel to it. The clothes around here have definitely changed. Everyone, there are real horses here. You can probably ride them and take photos. It’s amazing, it’s so spacious. The first tourist spot is the Etiga Mosque, which you can see in front of you. It’s the place that often has pictures in pamphlets and the like. It’s not that big, and the color of the surroundings is quite pale, but this is a very important mosque in Kashgar, even among the Islamic world. I’m glad I came. I heard that there’s a lot of police watching in front of the mosque and in the square, but there aren’t any at all, there aren’t any security guards. There are some koan people in the back, but it doesn’t feel very tense. Let’s take a look inside the area around the mosque. I saw that this is a mosque building, but it doesn’t seem to be a mosque anymore. This is the ticket center, or rather the gate, that you enter through. It’s no longer functioning as a mosque, so I guess there aren’t any police there? Is that so? The inside looks like this.思い出しました。 English: It does look like a mosque, but compared to the mosque I entered after selling it, it’s no good at all. Or rather, it’s not used anymore. It costs 30 yuan per adult. I’m buying a ticket now. Now that I’ve got my ticket, I’ll go in. I see, it seems there is a mosque in the back. I see, I see, it’s incredibly well maintained. The inside is incredibly clean. There are explanations in Arabic, but they’re in Chinese and there’s no English so I can’t read it. It’s an explanation that it’s a very important cultural resource in the Shinai-guji district, or something like that. In other words, it is an important important cultural asset for Protestant self-construction, and it has a liberal policy, so it says freedom of religious practice, so we recognize it and do not oppress Uighurs, or something like that. That’s right, that’s what it says. Today, there was a mosque up ahead so I’ll take my shoes off and go inside. The inside is a mosque. You can only enter from here, and you can’t go beyond this red rope, but this is it, it feels like an old Uyghur building just as it was , this tree is amazing , I don’t think they do any Islamic prayers here on the day, it seems like they’re just there to show it off to tourists, but there’s not much else you can enter, you can only see it from inside the rope, but it’s amazing, isn’t it, this old Uyghur mosque, I don’t think there are many Japanese visitors, but there are books over there and a chair where important people sit, so I think this is probably the direction of Mecca, I think it was probably in the direction of the chair, so I think they used to sit in a row, and that’s what they did, I think, I ‘m going to walk around the bazaar and this town and then have dinner, this is the entrance to the bazaar, it’s very lively Everyone, as expected , there are really a lot of people wearing beautiful ethnic clothing. I don’t think they’re wearing it just for the photos, but rather they just come here on a daily basis. There are ethnic people in the area, but the numbers are clearly fewer than in the Uighur area. There are a lot of Uighur people. I see some tourists, but there are clearly a lot of people who are not Uighur, including us. Everyone has Middle Eastern or Central Asian faces, and I think there are a lot of beautiful women. This is the entrance to the bazaar. There is a security check, but it’s not like there are a lot of police here. There are some here too, but they’re all really stiff and saying things like it’s dangerous, so it’s totally normal. This is the security check. Wow, it’s an incredibly beautiful townscape. This is the largest bazaar in the Uighur area. It’s not in Kashiwa, it’s Kashiwa. What do you all think when you see this? It’s not China at all. It’s amazing, I’m really moved, isn’t it amazing? It’s so fun and amazing, it feels like there are places like this in China. They sell traditional costumes and hats and I’m looking at them now because I’d like to buy a hat. And this is the food. I was talking about clothes and hats earlier, but the specialty is pomegranate, so they also have a lot of pomegranate juice and this is also pomegranate juice. This is Uyghur pomegranate. I had it at Umushi the other day and it’s the famous pirokh. It ‘s so big. It’s getting a bit over, but is it a really famous restaurant? Oh, but are there ones over there too? Also, this is a bit of a serious topic, but in these restaurants run by Uyghur people, all of the knives used to cut meat and other such knives are locked up in the Nanjin office to prevent someone from taking them and causing trouble or using them for terrorism. The regulations regarding weapons may be a bit discriminatory, especially when it comes to shops run by Uighurs, but they are decided and controlled, and the police are watching these kinds of places, aren’t they? This person is really loud, but he’s a tout, and this kind of thing is characteristic of Uighurs. In the new Uighur self-built zone, there are many unique regulations and management systems that are different from other regions, and knife management is one part of this. Within the Uighur self-built zone, there are strict restrictions on the purchase and use of knives and bladed items, and all bladed items must be registered as owners and engraved with a QR code. By scanning this QR code, the authorities can immediately confirm the owner’s personal information, and crackdowns are carried out with an extremely strict management system. Also, as we showed in the video on selling materials, gas stations require you to show a 2-minute ID when entering, and security checks and body checks are also carried out at the entrances and exits of some hotels, train stations, markets, and even restaurants. There are constant security checks in place, and many police officers and armed police are stationed in the city, so the city is always under surveillance. The background to this tightening of control is deeply related to the series of violent and terrorist incidents in the past, and the authorities are positioning these as measures to counter terrorism and maintain public safety. There are so many things to see, there are so many things I’ve never seen before, I think this is pigeon meat, the overwhelming favorites are this pomegranate and this melon, you can eat the melon in one slice, and also the lamb meat, I think. Kashiwa is amazing, it’s definitely worth coming here, and when it comes to places like this, it ‘s way better than Ulm, with bazaars and other places like this, it’s amazing, my values have changed and my image of it has completely changed too. This is a famous ice cream shop, and now they’re putting in this ice, and there’s this animal called a yaki, which is neither a cow nor a sheep, and they’re making sweet milk from it and cooling it down. ら見てくださいねー わ。 English: They mix the ingredients together in a nice way. I just got back from the bazaar, and there was a receipt on my car for a 50 yuan fine. It seems I shouldn’t have parked here, as everyone else was parking, but it seems it’s only a fine, so I pay it and it’s over. After this, I’m going to eat dinner, but before that I’ve decided to get a massage. Tomorrow is going to be a lot of work, so I ‘ll go so I can loosen up properly. There are police here too. I’m going to a hood massage shop on the third floor of this hotel. There are quite a lot of masseuses here in Kashgar, too. The inside is really clean, it’s like a karaoke box, a karaoke parlor, and the massage parlor was like this. The room was like this. You can smoke in the room too, and after I get a hood massage here I’m going to have dinner. I go to a massage parlor every day now, this is really a thing in China. No smoking It says “No smoking” and a hizara and a lighter are provided. A tea set like this was brought out. The massage lady is dressed a little sexy, but it’s just a normal massage. It was a wonderful massage and I was so tired. Look, it’s just after 9pm now. The sky is blue and my sense of time is all messed up. The day feels so long. It’s just after 9pm. So now, finally, we’re going to eat at the Uighur restaurant in Kash and we’ll go there because it seems like you can also take a C-car. It’s amazing. I’ve said this many times before, but it’s just after 9pm now. So, we’re heading to the restaurant. There are lots of Uighur restaurants around here too. It has a great atmosphere. We go into this Uighur restaurant. It’s nice. It’s really beautiful. I guess it’s a bit touristy. It’s really well done. It’s really authentic. It’s really amazing . I didn’t think it would look like this from the outside. Let’s go to our seats. Wow, it’s amazing. So, we just ordered a few things. This traditional Uyghur soup is famous, it’s made in a container like this, it’s lamb soup, so I ordered this, and then there was a small size Japanese pilaf, I think it was profuse, so I ordered two of that, it ‘s a meat dish, but I’ve been eating a lot of lamb recently, and it seems that the Kashga people here also eat a lot of pigeons, so I ordered grilled pigeons, and lastly, this is a traditional Uyghur sweet, rice cakes topped with yogurt and a sweet stalk sauce. There’s something like this, a Thai face with a mother-like face , and I’d like to drink one of them and share it and eat it. Also, there is a C car, so I’m thinking of ordering a C car after the meal. It’s about 78 yuan, so it ‘s cheap. Also, this restaurant is really amazing, it’s luxurious, and the atmosphere is outstanding . It has the original Zayghur feel. The food is also like this, and it’s made properly, or rather, it’s made right in front of you, which is amazing. Apirov , this is the small size on the profile. There is a large shochu option, but the small size is 12. I ordered lemon mint which is familiar in the Middle East. I can’t believe you can drink it in Uyghur. It suits you. Lemon mint in Uyghur. It’s almost like the Middle East. And here it is. It’s a traditional Uyghur soup. Yes, it looks really delicious. There are already goji berries and other things in this bowl. I think it’s coriander. You put something in this. The soup has big carrots, lamb and paprika in it. Let’s eat. First, lemon mint. Oh, it’s delicious. Super delicious. Oh, it’s so good I want to have a second helping. It’s so good. It’s delicious. It’s a little sweet. The amount is about this much. It comes in a huge amount and you can usually have second helpings. The amount is just right. It’s definitely a taste that Japanese people like. Let’s pour the soup. Ah, I see. Because of the coriander, it tastes like the soup you drink at Tai-i. It tastes like the soup that often comes with a funny look on your face. It tastes like the soup that often comes with a funny look on your face. But it’s also delicious. It’s refreshing, but it might be a bit difficult for people who don’t like coriander. It has this huge piece of lamb in it, but you can really bite into it. Well , I had it in a bowl the other day and it does smell like lamb. I think it tastes better grilled, but I feel like it smells a bit bad when boiled. I can eat it, but for people who don’t like it, it might have a bit more of an animal flavor. If it was just the soup itself, it’s very easy to drink. And here’s the dessert. The rice on the bottom is yogurt on top, and it doesn’t seem to have any yogurt in it. Oh, is this it? It’s also topped with some white stuff that looks like honey. Now let’s have a bite. This dessert is glutinous rice, syrup, and yogurt. It’s super sweet, it feels like a Middle Eastern dessert, it’s so sweet it makes my head hurt. But, the yogurt is really sour, the syrup is really sweet, and the glutinous rice is also sweet, but the glutinous rice part is quite sweet and delicious even just by itself. It’s a strange, strange taste. And then there’s the pigeon skewered rice. That one I only ordered a book, but we shared it. I had it before at Shinsen. They had a specialty, something like a deep-fried pigeon, and it’s been a while since then. It was like a yakitori. So it was a whole-roasted pigeon. The seasoning was good . It was just regular chicken. It was a little on the firmer side, and there was no flavor at all. So I ordered a food cart. They also brought a fruit platter and rose tea, which was really luxurious. It was a room like this. They were doing it now, and I’m going to enjoy the car that they prepared for me. I ‘m going to go back to the hotel after enjoying the cart. It was the best. It was amazing. It’s been a while since I’ve had a cart. I can’t believe it was in Ugle. Cars are great, so at the end we went to see the night market. There are quite a few police officers, but it has a very peaceful atmosphere and is very beautiful. This is the bazaar street that we were talking about earlier. At night, it looks like this. If you go further in, it is the road we passed today, but this is just a picture from the other side. So we returned to the hotel. This time we came to Kashgar, which is said to be the birthplace of the Silk Road. It is the city in Uyghur where Uyghur culture is best preserved. What did you all think when you saw it? Uyghur people , there are many strict regulations and the city is full of police, and there are people who think that there is no freedom. I thought the same way too, and thought that this was the kind of place it was, but I think that people, including the sellers, are living much more freely than I expected . That’s what I thought. It’s true that there are quite a lot of police officers in the city, but everyone is just normal, and this is just my objective view, but it wasn’t like it was rigid and there was no freedom, and as I ‘ve said many times before, it’s not like China at all. Especially in the second half, I went to the bazaar and the mosque, and it really felt like I was in a Middle Eastern country, and the atmosphere made me wonder if I was really in China, and the people’s faces were amazing too. And actually, when I came to Kashmir, I thought the same in Urumqi, but the Uighur people are incredibly kind, and there are many people who are kind from the bottom of their hearts, so I don’t feel any stress when I’m traveling there. There are so many nice people that you wonder why they are so kind to me. Especially when I tell them that I’m Japanese, they have a lot of respect for me, and This consideration towards people , or rather the way they treat them, is really moving, and on the other hand, if you ask whether Japanese people treat Uyghurs in this way, I don’t think most people do. It’s not dangerous in this situation, and I’m not sure how to put it into words, so I think a lot of people probably have a negative image of it. There’s also Islam, and as with anything , it’s important to come and see it with your own eyes and experience it, it changes your concept . I always thought that Uyghur was dangerous, and that it was dangerous for Japanese people to travel there normally, and that it was wrong, but it made me think about a lot of things , and I’m really glad I came this time. The food is delicious, and as the words say, although I may have gone there many times in the videos, just going to sell it doesn’t count as going to Uyghur. Yes, you really have to come to Kash. I feel that Kash is where the true Uighur culture is packed into, and I think that even Japanese people can enjoy traveling there quite a bit, and that it’s stress-free, so I think it’s a good place. When you actually talk to Uighurs, they say that there are a lot of things that are being said in the Japanese media , and there have actually been times when that was the case. There were probably severe restrictions, there were terrorism and I think there were times when the Chinese government was involved, but now it seems that there aren’t any restrictions on movement to that extent. When you actually talk to them, it seems that they are currently very accepting of foreign tourists , and although there are no Japanese at all, there are a lot of Westerners, from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Chinese. Economic activity in that area is quite active. I think there probably aren’t that many restrictions when it comes to interactions with people. I do think there is a dark side to it, but it’s more than I thought, how should I put it? I think it’s more than what I imagined, or what the Japanese media or everyone else imagined . That’s what I thought, from what I could see with my own eyes . I only have one night to stay today , so my final goal, or destination, for coming to Uyghur this time is a place called Tasuku Kurgan, just beyond Kashmaru. I think this is the first time I’ve been there, and I will be introducing it in the next video. It is the homeland of Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. It is of course a cultural prefecture for the Uyghur people, but it has something a little different, the scenery is amazing, and I think it is a place where you can experience a different world. I don’t think many Japanese people have been there, and it is still an area within Uyghur itself, but I am heading tomorrow to an area that is almost entirely in Pakistan and Tajikistan, so in order to prepare for that I have obtained a pass, bought oxygen, taken medicine for mining disease , rented a rental car, and done various other things . Next time I will be going to an area where there are restrictions on foreigners entering. The altitude is also in a place where there are mountains of 4000m above sea level, so actually here it is about 1400m above sea level, but tomorrow I will go to an even more dangerous place, so I will try my best to see around without wearing myself out. This time I only stayed in Kashgar for one night , but I went to Kashgar, an area where Uighur culture is even stronger. So I went to see Kashgar, and that’s the end of this video. I’m sure you all have various impressions and comments, so I hope you will continue to write them. I would also like to know your reactions, so please give it a high rating and subscribe to my channel. We will continue next time, so please continue to watch. Thank you for watching. Finally, I heard some in-depth stories from local people, so I would like to share them. During my stay in Kashiwa, a local Uighur taxi driver acted as an interpreter through my companion, and regarding the current situation in the Uighur region, We asked them what they thought about the situation. They spoke to us Japanese people, promising to conceal their faces and voices during the interview. The Uighurs today have more freedom than before, and have jobs, so they can live a normal life. After the terrorist attack 15 years ago, the police cracked down hard, but now they allow in a lot of foreign tourists, so if they crack down too vigorously, the international community would not allow it, and the Uighurs do not want that, so I think there is an atmosphere that it is fine to maintain the status quo. However, with regard to Islam , there has been a government shift, and although the Islamic faith is not banned, the traditional weekly practice of praying five times a day is, in principle, to be discontinued. According to the government’s explanation, if you pray five times a day, you have to stop working to pray. Until now, because of this custom, productivity has not increased and the economy has not grown at all. The spread of Islam is not banned, but I would like to see economic activity increase according to the same social rules as the general Chinese people. Uighurs are like other Middle Eastern Islamic Unlike Lamu, where oil and natural gas resources are plentiful and people can support themselves without working, they cannot survive on their own economic strength without outside support, so they are being told to follow Chinese-style social rules. He said that whether the Uighurs are dissatisfied with what I have just said or not is a personal decision to make in order to survive. Currently, various problems facing the Uighurs are being reported, but from listening to this story, I felt that it was a very realistic and reliable story from within the Uighur world. I cannot decide here what you all think or which is the correct answer, but I think this is practical. Next time, we will leave Kashga and enter the latest part of the Uighur world, where you cannot enter unless you have a traffic accident. Thank you for watching until the end. If you like this video, I would be very happy if you could write your thoughts on it in the comments section and give it a high rating. Please also subscribe to the channel. To be continued next time.
