1979年9月～1980年4月、日本テレビ系列で全27話が放送された、ハードボイルドながらユーモア&コミカルなアクションコメディ「探偵物語」
SHŌGUNが演奏したエンディングテーマLonely Man(Long Version)へのせた全27話セレクト映像と共にお届けします。
主演は工藤探偵事務所の「工藤俊作」こと松田優作。工藤が受けた依頼は毎度事件になり、服部刑事(成田三樹夫)と松本刑事(山西道広)との絡みが楽しい。
工藤探偵事務所と同じビルに住むモデルの卵、ナンシー(ナンシー・チェニー)と女優の卵、かほり(竹田かほり)は工藤の世話やきで毎回登場。
敏腕女弁護士、柏木マサ子こと倍賞美津子。愛称「ボインちゃん」は活動的で大胆。第3話、7話、13話、14話に登場。その他各話で当時旬な出演者と松田優作との共演も見どころ。熊谷美由紀(後に奥様となる松田美由紀)出演の第1話では、シスター役の緑魔子と楽しく自由な役を演じている。第18話へも参加。全27話全て見て頂きたい最高傑作！
