In this rally, you can see Kento Momota ancipating the last shot. This was only possible to do because in the same exact rally, Kento Momota noticed that Chen Long used a very generic foowork to his late forehand corner by side shuffling, then playing a very generic neutral slice drop straight. Kento noticed this and when he played his final lift, it had very good quality and noticed Chen Long using the same exact approach to the shuttle. This was when Kento Momota take a risk and ancipating the shot!

is it just me or are the older players not playing as much deception as the newer generation of top players?
It wasn,t a pattern Chen long shot quality was kinda off Iโm not saying itโs bad but off so like worse than usual so lento momota was able to hit the shot super early and another reason is Chen long shot placement Iโm not saying itโs bad but off
Momota is so polite and nice to his fans, I took a photo with him at Macau Open 2019! ๐
It is unfortunate that the car accident in Malaysia that happened to Momota has shortened her life as a player.
