This is from a recently unearthed VHS tape of Japanese broadcast TV from 1992. This is a scene showing the Rainbow Bridge under construction in the background in the Masahiro Motoki drama “News na Aitsu” (ニュースなあいつ). Also known as “That News Guy.”
Trying to date the construction progress of the bridge, my assumption is filming of the series took place in 1991 (?) with its original airing in 1992, but that could be incorrect. Some later episodes show things from ’92 so I’m not sure.
