INI|’Pineapple Juice’ Recording Behind
[PINEAPPLE JUCE
-RECORDING BEHIND-] HIROTO: Can we do
that last bit one more time? HIROTO: I think it needs
just that little bit more oomph. DIRECTOR: Can you make it more powerful? DIRECTOR: Can we get it
with a bit more energy? We’ve finished recording Pineapple Juice. HIROTO: I imagined
me and Fengfan in Thailand. HIROTO: Singing with those views in mind. HIROTO: It’s not so much a cool song
as it is a fun little bop. HIROTO: So that’s what
I hope you’ll get out of it. DIRECTOR: Let’s do it
in the octave below as well. DIRECTOR: Try singing
without using your chest voice. DIRECTOR: We want it cheerful. DIRECTOR: Don’t be nasally.
Try doing it all in one breath. HIROMU: Can we keep that,
but can I also do it once more? We’ve just finished
recording for Pineapple Juice. HIROMU: I wanted to put my own spin on it. HIROMU: I did my best, but… HIROMU: it’s hard. HIROMU: My part is the opener, HIROMU: so it’s like my voice
sets the tone for the rest of the song. HIROMU: I hope you like the song. DIRECTOR: Would you rather do it
in a high or a low tone? DIRECTOR: I love it! Let’s listen. DIRECTOR: The music’s high pitch,
but I want a low reverberation. RIHITO: Today’s the day
we recorded Pineapple Juice. RIHITO: We all love this song RIHITO: for its fresh summer vibes. RIHITO: Our voices are all so different, RIHITO: and the song really expresses
how much fun we’re all having. RIHITO: So come with us this summer RIHITO: and we’ll all drink
pineapple juice together. DIRECTOR: Let’s try
to reduce that accent. FENGFAN: I want to make
that “Vitamin” sound better. FENGFAN: Can I do that again? DIRECTOR: Can you make it
sound more confident? We did the recording
for Pineapple Juice today. FENGFAN: I helped write the lyrics
for Pineapple Juice. FENGFAN: We went to Thailand
back in February this year, FENGFAN: and that was right around
the time I was writing these lyrics. FENGFAN: I wanted to express
all the fun we were having FENGFAN: while we were on that trip. FENGFAN: I used our time on the plane
and also throughout the trip FENGFAN: to write up the lyrics
for Pineapple Juice. FENGFAN: I hope the song feels
like you’re traveling with us. DIRECTOR: Can you push your voice
forward a bit more and make it stronger? DIRECTOR: Less breath,
and more forward projection. DIRECTOR: Forget the pitch.
Just imagine you’re enjoying a party. We just did the recording
for Pineapple Juice. JIN: The song is more western
and more pop than INI normally does. JIN: It really worms its way
inside your head. JIN: I hope you listen to it on repeat. JIN: It’s become one of my favs,
so I’ll definitely be listening on repeat. SHOGO: How many goes do I get? DIRECTOR: You need to add
bending to the “pool” part. SHOGO: I’ll keep that in mind this time. DIRECTOR: Can you make it
a bit more exaggerated? SHOGO: It’s not bad, but… SHOGO: Can I do it a few more times? So that was Pineapple Juice. SHOGO: Pineapple Juice
is like a new spice for INI. SHOGO: It’s a new, fresh,
fruity kind of flavor for us. SHOGO: I definitely had fun recording. SHOGO: So many fruits involved. SHOGO: We’ve got watermelon, SHOGO: we’ve got coconuts, and so on. SHOGO: That’s my part, SHOGO: so I was being
very picky about my redoes. SHOGO: That’s the killing part for me. SHOGO: And so I hope you all have
a great summer with Pineapple Juice. SHOGO: Make sure to listen on repeat. DIRECTOR: Let’s try it again,
but make it really happy. DIRECTOR: I liked that. Let’s listen. DIRECTOR: There’s a lot of breath,
so let’s try pushing that breath forward. DIRECTOR: Can you make
“Thursday” a bit more cheerful? YUDAI: We just finished recording
for Pineapple Juice today. YUDAI: Now we’re rushing to film! YUDAI: For me, my favorite part YUDAI: is where I sing
“A sweet and sour season.” YUDAI: I sort of channel
the mindset of the season. YUDAI: I recorded it
by moving with the season. YUDAI: That’s personally my favorite part. YUDAI: I hope you like that part too. DIRECTOR: Let’s add
some sweetness and some cheer. Hello there.
We just finished recording. TAKERU: The part in Pineapple Juice
I’m most excited to hear TAKERU: is where I sing,
“The distant sky dazzles And makes me smile.” TAKERU: It’s a difficult line,
so I had to practice it a lot. TAKERU: Please listen, because I hope
I got it bright and sweet for you. TAKERU: I hope it appears
at all the festivals this year, TAKERU: so I hope you enjoy it. TAKERU: Let’s enjoy summer together! DIRECTOR: Just make it
cheerful and you’re good. DIRECTOR: Avoid your chest voice,
and sing it with cheer. DIRECTOR: Give it just a light bending. We’ve just done the recording
for Pineapple Juice. TAKUMI: My favorite part TAKUMI: is the second
rap part in verse two. TAKUMI: I love the rhythm of it. TAKUMI: So please listen out
for that part, and I hope you enjoy. TAKUMI: Enjoy! DIRECTOR: Don’t put so much stress on it. DIRECTOR: Make it bright,
make it cheerful. DIRECTOR: I love it! DIRECTOR: Let’s hear it
with the other voices. DIRECTOR: It’s in a high key,
but just relax and have fun with it. We’ve just done the recording
for Pineapple Juice. MASAYA: The part of the lyrics,
“The endless sky is invisible Through the screen” MASAYA: that’s my part. MASAYA: It means a picture
or a screen just doesn’t capture it. MASAYA: It’s a beautiful world,
a beautiful sky, a beautiful sea. MASAYA: It’s a beautiful Pineapple Juice. MASAYA: This summer, guys, MASAYA: get outside, listen to this song, MASAYA: put your screens down
and look to the “Endless sky.” MASAYA: I want you to take it all in. MASAYA: This summer’s for Pineapple Juice. DIRECTOR: Can you make
it more your natural voice? DIRECTOR: Now make this part
a little bit more sultry. DIRECTOR: Give it a bit more oomph. KYOSUKE: The part I liked,
the part I want you all to hear, KYOSUKE: is the final,
“Light up the summer.” KYOSUKE: Pineapple Juice
is a bright and upbeat song. KYOSUKE: It’s refreshing
and full of energy, KYOSUKE: and then for the end,
it’s not just satisfying, KYOSUKE: it also leaves you
feeling good afterward. KYOSUKE: That’s how
I went about singing this one. KYOSUKE: I hope you hear it too. KYOSUKE: It’s the perfect summer bop, KYOSUKE: and it’s perfect
for a summer road trip. KYOSUKE: I hope you’ll play
Pineapple Juice over and over again.
